Your risk helps you stand out.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. We live in a world where social media and content creation are now a thing everyone and everything wants to get into. We have gone past the days where only a few people were content creators; they made videos for us, and all we did was use our money and time to watch those videos. Today things are completely different; many people no longer want to be on the side of people who spend their money and time on social media without getting paid for doing so, and now they are content creators as well.

These days both the young and old are into content creation; sometimes I feel the number of content creators we have has even gone above the number of people left to consume this content. The ratio of content creators feels higher than the ratio of those actually consuming the content; you hardly walk past 5 blocks and do not see a group of people or an individual with a tripod stand or a ring light making content or dancing. The day you take a walk past 5 blocks without seeing any of that, then just know that something is off or something is happening that you do not know of.

I feel like the content creation space is quite saturated; there is no niche you want to go into that you will be the only one producing content on. There are already people there before you and those that will come after you. So since there are a lot of people in every niche, as a content creator, what makes you stand out is the amount of effort you put in and the amount of risk you are willing to take; if you are not willing to take risks, you will remain average or even below average, and your content will remain unnoticed.

So when I see content creators taking risk, I feel like they know what to do in order to be seen and noticed. As much as I like them taking risks, not every risk is worth it, though, especially those that can cause them physical harm or those that can ruin their reputation. Came across one stuntman on TikTok, and the things this man does, even if I were to lose my sanity today, I don't think I would ever think of such a thing.

Jumping from the rooftop of a 10-story building to the rooftop of another, with no parachute and no plans for medics in case things don't go as planned or imagined. That particular video has the most comments and even likes on his page, and I am sure it caused people to follow him, but that was too much of a risk just for content, so I support risk-taking but not the type where your chances of being harmed from that particular risk are higher than your chances of staying alive and continuing your pursuit of being a content creator. Your risk can help you stand out especially when they go as planned but that is not a motivation to take the type of risk that can hurt you or be used to blackmail you in the future.

Many creators today, are paying someone not to release a video or a chat for the risk they took while they were starting off, so take risk but don't take a risk that can hold you down.

I love this balance approach of yours.
Some definitely go to any length just to make a content. Not to talk of even those who go an extra length to do contents that are not in any way decent, forgetting that the Internet does not forget.

So, taking a risk ain't that bad, life itself is a risk. But then, it's important to be guided and know that your life, safety, and future is as important.

Thanks for sharing.
