After you forgive, what next?

You forgive when you stop feeling angry or resentful towards someone for what they did
wrong. It also means, withdrawal of punishment.

However, after you stop feeling angry at someone for what they did wrong to you, what next? Do you continue relating with the person as if nothing wrong ever happened?

If you end a relationship or keep a distance because you want to protect yourself from a repetition of what previously happened, does that mean you did not forgive absolutely?

How do you balance forgiveness and the art of protecting yourself from possible reccurrence?

Happy New Week!

Keeping a distance doesn't mean you haven't forgive a person wrong doings it's just a way of protecting Yourself and avoiding future issues.
