This type of spider web is very common in India and you can find it everywhere. This spider web you see in this picture it was built in front of my door because no one had gone there for a long time, due to this the spider got the time to make the spider web there 😂😂.

The spider web is a type of structure which is created by the spiders mainly to catch their prey and this spider web is created with the help of silk which is extruded from its spinnerets

Now have a look on some of the amazing facts and uses of spider web which is created by the spider

  • In many of the places spider web is also known as cobwebs because in our old English spider is known as cob so for that reason spiderweb also known as cobweb
  • we can easily touch the spider web because the spiders are not aggressive in nature and if mistakly bite us we feel a little bit discomfort only because most of the species of spider are harmless to humans
  • the spider webs are very strong and very rapidly made by the spiders and it's strength to weight ratio is just amazing
  • the spiders were informed when any prey is trapped in the spider web
  • if we talk about the strength of spider web then the tensile strength of steel is approx 0.2 GPA to 2 GPA while the tensile strength of some spider is approx 1 GPA it is very difficult to understand the comparison between the tensile strength of Steel and tensile strength of spider web ratio because of the difference in the sizes

  • The silk which is produced by spiders in the form of web has capability to stop the bleeding. In ancient time the bleeding of shoulders wounds is stopped with the help of Spider-web
  • There is one very shocking facts about spider web is that its maximum size of wheel shape web is approx 30 feet while some of the old spider web is also measured approx 82 feet

This is great! Not just for sharing photos of a spider (which I think is a Neoscona sp. orb-weaver spider), but also because of the cobweb facts! Thank you!

The answer is it lasts for more than 14,000,000 years in the nature

I'd love to read the source for this. I know webbing can, if undisturbed, last for possibly a century, so this would be incredible to read about!
