FungiFriday #6

Hello friends,

Snow still covers the roofs and the ground because the temperature rarely turns to plus. The same can be said for the common winter mushrooms that can be found in the area.

Already aged oyster mushrooms are almost completely covered with snow. The brown caps of these mushrooms occasionally erupt under the snow that covers the poplar stumps.

Flammulina velutipes is another common species found in winter. I mostly find it on dried Siberian elms or near them. Like the previous one, this species is very resistant to cold, snow, and ice.

Wood ear is a year-round mushroom. During icy days, it often darkens and dries up. I found this group after the first heavy snow, so they look completely fresh.

And all the other mushrooms from the photos don't seem to mind the cold at all.
