Hello feathered friends.
Show me a photo contest round 7 is opened by @nelinoeva and the theme is PIGEON.
I do have a ton of photos of different pigeon breeds in various situations. But for this round, I will choose pictures of a rock pigeon that fainted from exhaustion.
It happened in mid-November last year near the lake. It is generally known that pigeons are excellent long-distance flyers, but as with all living things, there is an endurance limit.

Luckily he regained his strength after resting and drinking some water.

Oh dear, glad the bird has recovered and regained its strength.
It was a very dramatic situation. I stayed by until he recovered so I could defend him from predators. If I hadn’t been around, it would surely have become someone’s lunch.
How lucky for the bird you have been there.
