What a boring match between Chelsea and Ajax

The champions league cup group stage match continued yesterday night with Ajax playimg at home against the Frank Lampard team. It was a match full of tensed moments as both teams couldn't get to hold the ball for long. It was really a rough first half.

Chelsea did saw some clear cut chances through Hudson-Odoi which they should have buried inside the net in the first half, but Hudson-Odoi decided to continue with his form of losing a lot of goals.

As much as am concerned, I think it was an equal game from both teams in the first half and the draw is a fair result for both teams. However, I believe the match would have been more interesting to watch if at least a goal was recorded in the first 45 minutes of the match.

I think some of the decisions made by the referee was poor and this is the reason why the first half of the game have been a rough one. However, I must commend the VAR being able to spot the Ajax player that scored a goal while in offside.

The second half action started roughly with the same tempo as that of the first half. Both teams were being very careful to not concede. Fortunately for Chelsea, Batshuayi came in for Tammy Abraham to give Chelsea the lead.

I think that was an intelligent substition from the Chelsea head coach. His decisions were right and the players were always ready to give in their best for Frank Lampard. However, it was a bad day for Willian as he was not on top of his game throughout the match.

Generally, I can't really categorize the match to be an interesting one. I would rather say it's a rough match full of tension and rough moments with very little beautiful moments of good football.
