All In Your Head - Push and Pull.
I am small and the word is so big
I can still get to my destination even though it might be noisy as the sound of a pig
It's not about my size but the fruits I carry like the fig
Don't judge a book by the cover they say, you dig?
I am small but the world is so big
And with my influence, I can still change a lot
Everything in life starts with the little step right where we are
Most people want to run even before they can learn how to crawl
They try to mask everything like a neck of scars with the shawl
Don't jump into everything because life is not about a brawl
Sometimes you win when you lose, don't bother settling for a draw
Out of your shell I beseech you, right now, out and crawl
There is no shame in having to learn how to crawl before walking
Life is all about a process that's why we hear first before talking
I am small and the world is big - caged with fears and the unknown
Size doesn't determine how far one goes in life
Just as age doesn't determine maturity in getting a wife
The limit we place on ourselves starts from how we see ourselves
It's all in the head and the world is always ours for us to take if we dared
Take the leash off your neck and leg like the horse tied to a plastic chair
What has held you back all these while is all in your head, pull and push
Thank you for your time.
My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.
Still me,
My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.

It's all in our head. I am familiar with the story of the horse tied to a plastic chair. We are often gingered by things that created space in our head. Fear is mostly false evidence appearing real. We need to push it out and pull ourselves away from it. Thank you for this eye-opener.
Entertaining fear would only restrict us from taking the necessary steps in life and just have you have said, kicking it out and filling it space with courage, faith, and positivity while will give success another shot is a must if we truly intend to succeed.
Courage and faith. I love that, brother. We have to do the opposite of fear. We have to do what we are scared of doing and only then can those voices be silenced and we can take steps.
Fear limits and it hinders us. We must try to silent the voice if not we won't be able to do anything.
Silence the voice. The voice would always be there but we have to keep it silent. Courage isn't the absence of fear but the presence of fear yet the will goes on...
Fear is false evidence appearing to be real. Some things are not as threatening as we make them out to be. It's all in our head and we are the only one that can get them out.
a great heartfelt poem. as often, my friend, I feel that some time in redrafting could lead to a taughter poem, where you really clarify the main ideas, and strip out words and phrases which aren't essential to these.
obv, just my opinion
Thanks for your suggestions and I've always stressed it for the umpteenth time that I am simply being expressive and having fun with my poetry. I am not following any set guidelines and I am creating my own unique style. Poetry can be expressed in various forms. I always say this. It's all about the message I want to pass across in my rhythmic style. Thank you.
Yay! 🤗

Poet, your orality flows with fresh originality.
So, you will transform the universe.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I just like having fun with words and that's what always carve out the style I choose. Thank you.
I was giving myself a beat while reading through and if this was a song lyric, it would send deep meaning.
The messages are clear and direct for those who care to understand.
Everything about life is indeed a process and skipping the much needed phase will need to pass through most times ends up as a challenge for us.
Settling for less isn't an option even when life looks at us and says, "you can't succeed". While growing, we were expecting a lot of things to be easier but it turned out to be the opposite yet we keep pushing because there are better days ahead.
You have a deeper understanding of this poem and what a brilliant comment from you, as usual, brother. Life is a process. Indeed, a lot of things would make us think we can't get through but we have a choice to make to make things better for ourselves.
Thank you so much, brother.
Yeah sir, it's our choice whether to move or stop. We have the power not just in our hands but in our mind as well.
We just have to use them both.
Our hands and our minds. We must use them both. Overcome with our mind and take steps and work with our hands.
You couldn't have said it in a better way. Thank you for this.
We have to use both. Just like using our head and heart. We have to use our mind and our hands. Beautiful one, brother.
This poem is a powerful and thought-provoking exploration of the theme of self-empowerment. The use of imagery and metaphor effectively convey the message that one's size or age does not determine their potential for success and influence in the world. The poem encourages the reader to break free from limiting beliefs and to take control of their own destiny. The message is both inspiring and uplifting, and the writing style is skillful and engaging. A truly inspiring piece of literature.
You got the whole point of the message and I deeply appreciate your contribution. I enjoyed every bit of your word as you hit the nail on the head. Thank you for your appreciation. I'm honoured.
😊😊😊😊
I certainly took a dose of your poetry today, based on the doctor's order.😉
It's spot on, poet. Life is out there for the taking. Everything we think that might be holding us back is in our head.
It's all in our head and it's there for us to take if we want to, when we want to. Thank you very much for your kind words. I am grateful.
Life is as beautiful as it is terrible, as light as it is dark, as happy as it is sad, as life and as death.
Your poem reflects the different aspects that surround us in life.
I really enjoyed your poetic piece.
Thanks for sharing.
Good day.
I am honoured. I am grateful. I deeply appreciate your appreciation for this piece. It means a lot.
Very good analogy friend, I really loved the title of your poem, sometimes in this process of self-discovery many times you have to change the route but not the goal, because as you say we are small but the world is big, as we say in my country everything It's one step at a time, we always want to do everything on the first try and it's not like that almost always, take things easy and move forward, which is the most important thing of all, very nice piece friend, greetings ☺
This is another beautiful piece. I always enjoy your contribution. One step at a time...we can change the route but the goal stays the same. That resonates so well. Thank you so much.
Hmm that's some deep thoughts going down there, I could feel the words talking to me.
The truth in this is our daily reality for any who would see it... Life isn't all bed and roses, too hardship but we go through them even though we feel we are too small for them... In all, our Creator makes that possible for us.
Well arranged words Sir Ola... And longest time 🙂
Meritttttt. Long time. Missed having you here and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Life isn't a bed of roses but we have to bear them and do better. Thanks dear.
Yeah, I miss being here as well hehe 🙂
Life is in stages, and this poem reminds us to take one step at a time, learn to crawl before we walk, and then we can run afterward.
Everyone has got his/her timeline, and though the world is so big we can make our little difference in our little way.
The world is big and we can make the difference where we are. We all have our timeline and we have to move...do our bit. Thank you so much.
We should always push and pull and hopefully success 🙏 will be achievable 🙏
Came from @dreemport
We have to keep doing it and expending ourselves... Thank you.
Very Nice 👍
You are highly welcome 😁
This is a great opening line and it is a thousand words said in one phrase, painted in one image.
At first glance, this is just another made up rhyme, but upon closer scrutiny, being a horse tied to a plastic chair says a lot about having so much potentials but putting a limit on our mind.
Damn!
You nailed it...having that mental image of restriction when all we needed to do was to take a step to be able to break free.
Thanks a lot, Deraaa.
This is a wonderful piece you have written but I doubt the fact that a man's will is enough to change the world, I believe change is as a result of a collective contribution.
Pop in from #dreamport
No one doubted the collective but a dream starts with one man. If you don't dream it, how can others join you???
