Leicester City played host to Manchester City and despite City losing their first game of the season they have gone from strength to strength without looking back. They played against another good side with Leicester City and they came out with a 1-0 victory in a hard-fought victory.

Football is about results and they managed to get the victory just when it mattered with Bernardo Silva blasting home the ball after a rebound fell to him. Guardiola would be happy with the victory and even though he was unable to get his man; Harry Kane over the summer, He would be more than happy with how his midfielders are chipping in their goals so they won't have to be over-reliant on the striker; Gabriel Jesus.

Manchester City were determined to get the game rolling so early on and they did so through Bernardo Silva in the 6th minute. He broke through on the left-hand side of the pitch after beating his markers. He managed to get the ball over to the on-rushing Gabriel Jesus who powered his header goal-ward but Schmeichel was up to the task to block the effort. Silva did so well to bring that ball into place and create that chance.

In the 8th minute, Leicester City returned the favour as Jamie Vardy was sent clear on the sideline. His perfect low cross into the box found Barnes who was blocked by Kyle Walker as they clattered into each other. James Madison gathered the ball again and laid it for the on-rushing Ndidi who had his shot blocked again by Kyle Walker. Manchester City weathered that storm.

In the 19th minute, the lively Bernado Silva went all-in after finding space at the edge of the box. Jack Grealish was waiting to receive the ball but he went all in but was denied by the goalkeeper. 2 minutes after, Gundogan cheekily laid a freekick into the path of Jack Grealish who quickly smash the effort but it went higher. It was a brilliant attempt to catch the defence line off guard and it did only that the ball went over the bar.

Vardy and Barnes connected yet again after Vardy delivered a long ball to find Barnes. His lovely header skimmed just the crossbar and Leicester City would feel so unlucky there not to have scored. In the 54th minute, Ferran Torres missed a wonderful chance after he was found inside the box. He tried to hit it the first time and he did but he missed by just a tiny margin as he struck the base of the side of the net.

In the 62nd minute, Manchester City got their breakthrough after Grealish was found at the side of the box. He laid a pass to Cancelo whose shot was blocked by the feet of Soyuncu as the ball fell into the path of the active Bernado Silva. He smashed home the effort to give City the lead. In the 72nd minute, City were already in control as it allowed Kyle Walker to try an audacious attempt from far out but Schmeichel was alert to it and he parried it over the bar.

Iheanacho should have done better in the 83rd minute after he was found with a lovely delivery into the box. He couldn't quite connect well with the ball as the chance agonizingly went wide to ease Manchester City of that threat.

Leicester City lost concentration as Tielemans was caught napping. A brilliant ball was sent into the path of Fernandinho who should have done better but fired just marginally wide. The game ended 1-0 and Manchester City got the needed 3 points.
