I know It's the world we live in, we all know too
A world where everyone reads meaning to everything
Your actions are second-guessed even with the purest of intentions
You can't do things without people having opinions
I don't know how things got this bad with the human race
That you decided to be nice and yet it's with hidden motives?
I know our experiences shape us and the patterns too
Based on what we have seen with those who never do things with good conscience
But the truth is, we all see life from a different perspective
We live in the same world but we have varying lenses
A lot of people try to guard and guide their hearts
By pushing everyone away based on what they have seen or experienced
You can't blame them though because we all caused this
You can't pass a compliment on a lady without stares
Everyone thinks you want the number or want to have her laid
A lady cannot even tell a man how good he looks
Without onlookers thinking she is a slut and indecent
You can't walk with a lady on the stairs
You can't even pay a guy or lady's fare
Without people thinking you are in a funfair
What's wrong with the world that we live in?
How did we get things so messed up to this point?
