Mass Indoctrination Service: Day 11 - 25th October, 2021.

These are the lessons learnt from the teaching of Bro Eliseo Soriano.

You can watch the video of the lessons learnt below:

Ecclesiastes 5:4 (NIV)

When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.

Just as a maid knows his or her job in the house, as believers, we are expected to know what we should do in the house of God.

When we make a vow to God, we must honour it. God will never force us to make a vow but when we make a vow, we must keep to it because it pays not to make a vow than to make it and not honour it. The story of Ananais and Sapphira is a perfect example. They made a vow to the Lord but failed to keep to it. They paid with their lives for failing to honour their terms.

2 Corinthians 8:3&7 (NIV)

For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own,
But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

When we give, it should be willingly and not grudgingly. God loves a cheerful giver.

Donations doesn't have to be a fixed amount in the house of God. Most Churches receive payments and not donations because they fixed the amount for it. As the giver you are the one to determine how much to give willingly. Abraham determined how much to give Melchizedek and the Israelites determined how much of their goods to part away with when required.

We are to be thankful, do good and also give contributions because these deeds delights God.

Hebrew 13:15 (NIV)

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.

We are to forgive those who owe us, it is an act of doing good because it will provoke thanksgiving from them and we should also be thankful because this is the Will of God for us. We can offer thanksgiving to God over everything and anything.

Colossians 3:15 (NIV)

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Contribution should be a sacred thing between the giver and God and as a Church of God, it should be used to help others.

Be true to your vows else God would be angry. Better not to make a vow than to make one and not keep to it. Every man should give as he has purposed in his heart. God won't decide it for us but we are to determine it because He loves a cheerful giver. Don't give grudgingly or out of necessity but willingly from your heart. Thanksgiving is also a voluntary step or action because it means we are appreciating God for what He has done.
