James 1:6-7 (NIV)
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
There are implications if we don't trust God because doubts will set in. We would be tossed to and fro by the wind of other doctrines that are different from God.
If we are double minded we can't walk in the way of God. If we lose trust, doubts will come in and if doubts come in, we will be wavering.
1 John 3:20-21 (NIV)
If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God
If we have no trust we can't receive from God but if we trust, whatever we ask we will receive. The Bible says 'This is the confidence that we have of you that every time we call on You, You answer." It is lack of trust in God if we don't fulfil His commandments or the things that pleases Him so our heart would condemn us.
We are to fulfil the laws of God by doing good whether someone sees us or not because trusting God is to fulfil His laws. God commanded Abraham and he obeyed because he trusted God.
Those who don't fulfil the law don't believe even if they said they believe. We should take advantage of the time to do good at all times. We should obey God with the intention of pleasing Him.
