Visiting Hours...

pexels-photo-314726.jpeg

How good it would be if heaven had visiting hours
I would never miss the regular appointed time
I know it's all different there but that is absolutely fine
I wouldn't mind taking along with me your favourite wine
As I turn every visiting hours into a time to dine

How good it would be if heaven had visiting hours
I would make it all about you and everything ours
Patiently listening to all you have to say and that advice of yours
In that moment nothing else matters not even this world's cares
As I lay them all down with you even those of my greatest fears

How good it would be if heaven had visiting hours
For every trip I want I would keep all savings aside in the jars
I would get the finest of shoes even in their pairs
How amazingly beautiful it would be to watch the angels open the doors to the stairs
As they flap their wings while they usher us to the chairs

How good it would be if heaven had visiting hours
Who wouldn't want to take the joy in taking a visit to the upstairs?
The world is also in turmoil and most people seem to be tired of things downstairs
Everyone would take the liberty to visit their loved ones they missed over the years
And hope their words of comfort and change of scenery would dry their tears

How good it would be if heaven had visiting hours
I would visit you every single opportunity I got, dad and mum
I know you would both have continued up there your love affairs
I would have been familiar with how things work their, no need for tours
I wouldn't stop telling you both how much you have been missed here on earth

Ed Sheeran's "Visiting Hours" inspired this and I decided to go in another direction. I love the song and if you haven't listened to it, please do. It is a wonderful song filled with so much words and memories. I know this poetry doesn't come close to it but I got inspired to do something about it...going another route to birth this poetry to life. But really...how good would it be if heaven had visiting hours?

Heaven having visiting hours would have been awesome, we will worry less about our loved ones when they leave the world. It would hurt to an extent but know well that we can visit them at a particular time will things are different.

I know how much you miss them and I pray for their soul to continue resting in the good side of God

Absolutely. We would worry less about them because we can always visit. It would be like a vacation... though we would miss not seeing them as much as we would want to but it won't be bad to know we can pop in once a week or once a month

The way we see so many things cleared up within poetry, the way you have shared it with us is very good and instructive. Some places are like the way we see natural things they look like heaven Why natural sights are so beautiful to the human heart I like this poem very much. As we all know that one day we are going to leave this world, we should all treat others the same way we treat others.

The poem is indeed a nice one. So many things said in just one piece of poetry.

"As we all know that one day we are going to leave this world, we should all treat others the same way we treat others". There's no lie in this statement.

Life should be all about love because it doesn't all end here.

I love the angle you have chosen to go with your comment. We have heaven on earth if we choose to behave with the right thoughts.

That's an imaginary concept, yes it for sure, teaches us to do some good deeds as we may have seen heaven and the blessings it has for us. we will stop ourselves to do negative things. No one would want to go to the hell.

I love the power of that imagination too. It would be wonderful to imagine such a visit. I am sure seeing that grand splendour would make everyone want to do everything not to miss heaven too.

That's it...the power of imagination. It's so powerful that it makes you go wide and wild. That's why I jumped on this title too.

Not at all.. no one wants hell at all.
It's just like rejecting the sugar in your mouth in place of a salt.
Just that doing good isn't an easy task to pay especially when the world's filled with people that love doing things upside down.

Nice contribution

Yes, it's an imaginary concept. But a really great one.

Sometimes we just need an abstract world — a place where our minds can merry and forget the struggles of life.

At the same, this concept revives our spirit and renews our mind

I love having my imagination go wild and I fed off the popular song which inspired this poetry. That's why I jumped on it because I love the way the artist think.

It would be very cool, just thinking about it gives me goosebumps, so many friends and family who left early, to talk and give me some tips that can serve me, I liked your concept and that little tribute to your parents, that there was a ladder or a bridge above, would be great, I will listen to that song you're recommending because that artist is very good, thanks for sharing this ♥

I am glad I am not alone. It gave me goosebumps and I allowed my imagination to go wild just at the thought of it. I have been imagining what it would be to have that visit there.

It would be very cool friend, just thinking about it, imagine being with that endearing being even for half an hour, I think it would be very nice but well in the end dreaming does not cost anything, I hope you are very well, hug for you too @gingerup

Being there for even less than half an hour...I would bask in that euphoria and absorb it all in while holding the hands of my loved ones with silence speaking to us while I enjoy the magnificence of heaven.

That's important, whatever time it is, whether it's 10 minutes or whatever, it will be very exciting for us and for the loved one and of course to see and observe the wonderful kingdom of God, it would all be spectacular ♥

I love your choice of words and I just used the same above...wild and wide. I love stretching the way I think and would jump on anything that makes my imagination go wild.

Imagination is important for all of us, it helps us to think and have better ideas when it comes to any action we have in mind, I love it ♥

It would be so great to meet again with all our loved ones even for a little while, it must be special that, and of course Ed Sheeran is an excellent singer, it's strange that he has a bad song, hugs @sperosamuel15

Ed has great songs, he usually doesn't release bad songs and such songs have very beautiful messages, as I mentioned a few days ago, it's very rare that he releases any bad songs xD

"Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps" this was the same over here.

Perhaps we'll all meet our loved ones, though not today; but when the time is right, in years to come.

As for Edsheeran's song, I feel you should search it out. It will really speak to you 👌

Well yes it does, we all need some advice from that loved one who left before their time, but well so was God's will, as for the song I listened to it yesterday, it's very nice and touching, I simply loved it ☺

The thought of it alone makes me smile. If only that was possible, I know a lot of people would jump in on this too. Thank you for being here, my friend.

Who wouldn't be happy to see their family members or a loved one again even for a little while, I think it would greatly lessen the depression in the world when they get to see their loved one even one more time, thanks to you my friend, have a great week ♥

If Heaven has visiting hours I would also be on the list to visit my lost loved ones too. I would not miss any appointed time too because of how much I have missed them. This is a beautiful write up. Greatly inspired too.

I would certainly be on that list too and not miss any visiting day because there would always be a lot to say ahead of the visiting hours.

Hehehe, while reading the post I was even drew to Ed Sheeran and seeing his name at the down aligned to my thoughts 😂

The flow of your quote was really amazing man

Indeed, if heaven had visiting hours, I really can't imagine what I'll do in addition to what you already mentioned.
I really want to say hello to a lot of persons.

Well, thanks for sharing this

Exactly😂 while reading through, the song embraced my mind. I wasn't surprised when he said the poem was inspired by Edsheeran.

But, what would you do in addition to what he mentioned?👀

😂😂
It obviously won't be a bad idea to prep through the Lord's book to see your future and beg him to touch some places you're not comfortable with... You're already in heaven anyway 😂

😂😂😂... That's just it! You're in heaven anyway.

But You've got some really smart ideas💡

Having a peep into the future isn't bad at all.
I guess I'll prolly do the same if it were me😅

Absolutely beautiful! I got immersed in the write-up.

It would actually be a beautiful thing if heaven had visiting hours. I'm pretty sure once I visit, I would leave no more 😂

I'm glad you got inspired from one of my favourite artists "Ed Sheeran". He's actually a really good singer and he's inspired me to write various poems over the years.

Thanks for sharing 💯♥️

Hahaha the Nigerian in you wouldn't want to leave, perhaps that's why there are no visiting hours because of people who wouldn't want to leave hahaha.

At all😂
apart from we Nigerians, is there a human being that would desire to leave after visiting paradise? I doubt😅

No one would ever want to leave, I guess. There's no need asking you, cause I doubt you, the writer, would even want to leave🌚

I love your poem! It's so beautiful and heartfelt. I can really feel the love and longing you have for your parents. I'm sure they would be so proud of you and the person you've become.

I agree with you, it would be wonderful if heaven had visiting hours. I miss my loved ones who have passed away so much, and it would be amazing to be able to see them again and spend time with them. I think it would be a great comfort to many people.

I'm not sure if heaven really has visiting hours, but that doesn't mean we can't still connect with our loved ones who have passed away. We can do this through prayer, meditation, and by keeping their memory alive in our hearts.

I'm sorry about your loved ones. Yes, it's a definite to miss them.

Of course there are no visiting hours because if there are, a lot of people wouldn't want to miss it.

Thank you so much for that. We carry them in our hearts everywhere we go...that's the closest we can get to them from yonder.

I like what you say, it's good that heaven has visiting hours, it would be marvelous to talk to GOD, personally ask him for what we need, to be in good health, above all this, without health the rest is banal.

That's so true. We can ask God some questions face to face and get the answers we seek. Thanks a lot for being here, brother. I love this response.
