A Bad End to a Decent Day
Happy Sunday, yall!
They say all good things must come to an end. Especially summer, and doubly so here in Michigan. We are still hot, with 80s in the day. However, that will come to an end Thursday as the low will be 40F. Yikes from 80F to 40F overnight. Thanks, Michigan. Talk about a stickler for following the calendar as Thursday is the first day of Autumn!
It was a quiet weekend, here at the lake. Some of the early risers and over achievers have already called an end to the season. My neighbor yesterday had their large dock platform filled with chairs, flowers and sun umbrellas. They also have a Mastercraft as well as a pontoon, both lifted and covered with large canopies. I am not sure what kind of magic they use, but this morning, it is bare. Not a flower, chair nor boat in sight.

So I decided to do a little bit of my own jumping the gun and planted my first Halloween ornament.
Perhaps it should be more orange, but I guess it is one of those newfangled pale pumpkins!

To put upside down into the dirt... To be honest, I am not sure it is a keeper yet. Ten bucks from Target, meh...
As usual there is no rest for the weary. I have been out working. Today painting trim. Want to know what is really sad? I actually thought today was Saturday for part of the day. Honest story. I worked all day yesterday that it passed in a blur. So to my mind, yesterday didn't even exist! It just simply passed by as a blur of activity!
Food today was not much, as you can see. Hey that is the way it goes when trying to do so much around the house. OMG I swear on my life a skunk has lit something up. We have a pleasant night going with lower temps allowing windows to be open and now I have the horrible skunk smell. Soooooooo tired of this!

Oh wow. Your neighbor just kind of picked up summer the way one might do a 10-minute tidy around the house. Bam! Done!
That is kind of funny that you thought it was Saturday. But ouch the realization that it’s the end of the weekend must have been harsh!
I love the witch legs. Very clever! Maybe they will scare away the skunk.
The tortoise shell looks so black. I've seen nothing like that.
I've seen some Halloween decoration too but I think still early for many places.

Haha! I like the witch's legs. They are always trying to oft the old girl. I really like the one where she flies on her broom right into the house (or tree or whatever) That is probably my favorite. I laugh every time I see it.
Don't feel bad. One of our mutual friends dropped their #MarketFriday on Thursday, thinking it was Friday. It happens, although to have the weekend come to an unexpected screeching halt?

The white pumpkin can be just fall if it doesn't have a face on it. It look nice stuck in there amongst the greenery.
It may be an illusion, but that turtle looks like it has an extra long tail.
My mind tries to mix the days up more frequently it seems, bring on the old brain ! It is especially funny when I have Wednesdays off and Tuesday evenings start trying to tell me they are Friday. heh
I have noticed when I am working long hours, it is like that day didnt even exist to my brain... I must be trying to block it out!
