A Beautiful and Sublime Sunday - For Reals

It really was a

Beautiful and Sublime Sunday

For Reals!

Guys were out making the most of a nice warm day, cutting up the lake.

Can you spot a faint amount of color on the far shore. There is not much, but there is some.

The kids went to pick some fresh apples at the orchard. They even brought back some nice, made while you wait doughnuts.

Not even going to lie, they were good! How come fresh always tastes so amazing?!?

The OldGuy did not get to go because of that little thing called

WORK!

I am repairing the steps to the lake so that I can paint them soon!

The Beautiful Sunday and Sublime Sunday tags are some of my faves! I want to thank @ace108 for running the beautiful Sunday tag every week and keeping such detailed stats and supporting the accounts. Also, a shout out to @c0ff33a for the sublime Sunday tag where your random Sunday posts are always welcome!

So the end of the boating season is always a bittersweet time. I decided to bring the kayaks in now instead of waiting till it is so freezing cold out. The water was far from even luke warm, but not as bad as it will get in a few weeks!

As you can see I am not the only one to have this idea. They say October 15 is the average first freeze date for Michigan. That means its best time to start that dreaded task! Most canopies have been taken off and the boats are being winterized. Soon the lifts will themselves be lifted out of the lake.
I am sure I will miss my boat having just sold it, but I am NOT missing having to spend a 1000 bucks to get it winterized, shrink wrapped and stored!!!

Lets get these kayaks off and the rack taken apart. Just like magic!

There was only one small issue. This little bugger had a home right next to the bolt I had to loosen. Of course I waited for Mr Legs to move away and I was able to make sure he got to terra firma unharmed. I have had to kill things, but I dont like to if I can help it. I am a live and let live kind of guy that takes no pleasure in unnecessary killing of even the smallest little bugger.

Getting a little of that Fall tinged sunlight. Not a bad day to get your feet wet!

This is similar to my country (Hungary). At least nowadays. Who knows what will happen in the future because of the climate change. According to the current weather forecast, the temperature will be -2 °C (28.40 °F) in the morning on Thursday (on 2021.10.14).

I can say the winters dont get as much snow and are not as brutal as when I was a kid 50 years ago.

Apples and Donuts.... a nice reward for staying home and working.

It looks like pumpkin spice and cinnamon? Those are my guesses.

I like your sunset animation.

I thought you'd want to the make more full use of the kayaks before you pack them up.

No goodbye kayak trip? How sad! I thought you would have a farewell to the Lake life, but, maybe you already did.

Well, that was time well spent picking apples for the kids. Beats having to study all day long. You definitely get to reap the rewards of the kid's trip to the orchard.

Sounds like a wonderfully Sublimely, Beautiful Sunday. You are smiling like a Cheshire cat. Is there anything you would like to share with us?

Smart thinking packing up a bit earlier. You never know what'll happen with this weather. Great looking donuts too on top of another productive Sunday.
