Yes it is my birthday, and I just turned five!!!

I cannot get over it has been five years! Five years!!! Wow! Seems like yesterday when I remember reading @uwelang posting in a Facebook room about how great Steemit was. They were getting paid decent money for posting. However it was in what they called "crypto". Well that sounded like funny money to me. I just knew it had to be a scam. So I signed up and Steemit GAVE me 5 bucks worth of Steem. That didn't sound like a typical scam to me, but I decided to wait and watch it for a while. Well it was not until three months later that I made my first post!! I honestly have been hooked ever since!

I then clearly remembering thinking that the money or "coin" must be fake. How can something the site gave out for free be worth something, anything?!? Where did the money come from, lol... It wasn't until I saw a post way back then from @papa-pepper showing he was pumping gas into his tank with funds from Steemit. 😯 Whoa, maybe there is something to this crypto cash yet 😃

Since then I am happy to report that I have taken out a fair amount of cash and it is indeed capable of buying gas!
The only thing that still stumps me is why anyone is still folling around on Facebook??? Lol

I have also had the privilege to bring over a decent number of folks over to Steemit/Hive. Some have opened accounts but never posted. Some have posted and started well to only die on the vine, so to speak. However there have been a select few that have tried and thrived here! They have went on to find their place in the Hive and continue to produce good fruit.

So I spent a good amount of time today on my ladder. When I built this house, I loved recessed lighting...You know those cans in the ceiling. I like the fact that they didn't appear to need much care...however they do require a lot of power!

For example, 8 lights * 65watts = 520 watts versus 8 lights * 9 watts = 72 watts for the same amount of light! Yes please!

Oh the Swan family are coming for dinner!

As I was starting to wind down this beautiful Sunday post, I looked out the window and sure enough: here come all six members of the Swan family.

This may look to be a monochrome shot, but it is not. Everyone knows that would be for tomorrow as it is Monochrome Monday... This is just our drab existence. See the spat of blue in the sky. Oh winter you are so pretty...said no one ever!

Of course you can see the horrible snow that we got hit with. I wont go on to belabor the point that it is currently 10 degrees That would be 10 degrees Fahrenheit not Celsius! The swans always amass out front and dive down to get some seaweed. As you can see the second from the left is bottoms up! I certainly cannot wait to get out of this frigid ice box called Michigan! And on that sublime note, I bid you all; stay safe and stay warm, my friends...
