It Is That Time of Year (For Buying Decorations)

Happy Market Friday

I just got a few cheapo Halloween decorations from Target. Can you believe they shipped them with zero packing material. Now I understand they are not high end, rather they are cheap plastic, but really Target? Guess you didn't
want to spring for a sheet or three of brown packing paper.

Well it is that Fall time of year again, so I say let the decoration buying begin!

I thought these will be fun on a dish with fairy lights!

As always a special thanks to @dswigle for making Market Friday so much fun every week!

I think it is funny how Target scrimped on the packaging on the plastic decorations, but they really went overboard on this one! Here is a picture showing the double layer of bubble wrap.

Here we are down to a single layer of bubble wrap!

Ta Da! Here it is in all its glory!

Here you can see one of the cats lol.

I also had to pick up an owl or two.

Here is another black cat, but the golden owl is a bit shy! Cant miss the witches legs!

I also stopped at a road side stand selling Halloween items like corn stalks and pumpkins...

Sadly the selection was small but the prices were high!

Looks like you are all ready for Halloween! I haven't got one decoration ready yet. I have them all on standby, ready to rock and roll.

That was pretty low-class of Target! I know they probably won't get damaged, but they could get scratched. I guess it is all about perception. It looks like they don't care how your items show up. So the golden pumpkin was in a different box/different vendor?

I like using the old corn in decorating, and bales of hay too. Of course, I get to use those old bales once the holiday is over. The horse doesn't eat it, but, it can be used for bedding somewhere. That isn't many pumpkins for a roadside stop, but, it looks like a little popup. I am not even sure what is expensive anymore. They all look like more than I want to pay. I am hoping close to October, they will roll a bit on the prices.

Looking Happily Halloweenish, Old Guy! You are leading the pack!

Out of curiosity, because you do buy a lot online, do you think we buy more when we buy online? I was thinking about this not too long ago and I think I actually might. I may have to pay more attention to my buying habits.

Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I like the way your garden is accessorized this year. You do have the most fun with your decorations! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

I would say we do more of anything if it is made easy, and I think buying online is no different. I really love buying online. I am reminded how much every time I try to go out shopping for an item. First it is hard to find anyone that stocks nearly anything anymore. Then you have to burn expensive fuel to go after it. Fight the covid crowds as you hunt around the store for the item... There is no wonder why Amazon grew to be so popular!

BTW they packed my Santa boots well and yet they somehow still got scratched...possibly before they bubble wrapped them...

It's fun seeing the decorations! I don't know about Target but I could imagine they sell good, high quality products so it's kinda sad you got bad quality ones.
Guess you're so ready for Halloween!
