The Sarlacc and Other Fun
Funny how random shots can remind one of silly things. Take for example this top down shot of a thistle plant. It really reminds me of the famous scene from Star Wars Return of the Jedi where they are going to feed Luke and crew to the Sarlacc monster that lives in the desert.
By the way, I still cant believe Carrie Fisher is gone. Seems like it wasnt that long ago that I first saw her choking old Jabba the Hutt. I cant be the only teenage guy that thought she looked pretty hot in that scene!?!
Let's play Can You See
Oh I know games usually suck, but we will only do two shots and that will be it. I will start off super easy with this one and the green bugger which I think is a katydid.
Ok I know, I know...easy peasy you say! Alright then try this one...
Yep right in the middle! I believe he is a Kingfisher, but I could be wrong as well! I had to crop in coz I didnt have my zoom, just only the Sony 90mm and I didnt want to scare him away...
Well at least it is fun to get out and bum around a little with the Sony 90mm. I always enjoyed taking some macro shots, but it is fun to use as a standard 90mm prime too.
I think this bee enjoyed his pollen as it seems he has a bit left on his mouth :)

That's funny about the thistle photo.
Looks like it was a nice day to be out in nature and getting a few fun shots.
My eyes still haven't landed on the King Fisher ! It crossed my mind that maybe it wasn't really there and you were doing a joke to see how long someone would look for it. :)
Pretty much dead center!
We are going to have good weather thru the weekend so they say!
Yeah.... it's supposed to be good weather here to the rest of the week. It still got down below 40 degrees last night.....brrrrrr.... of course it was warm in the house. :)
I see where you circled the bird. In my mind I thought the King Fisher was a much larger bird, so I was looking for something big ! ha
