Tropical Storm Ophelia or Just Another Day
From calmer ocean days of yore...
About four hours east of me, the Richmond/ Washington DC crowd are taking a pounding curtesy of Tropical Storm Ophelia. My son is always on my ass about moving to "the Ocean" and I must admit I love the ocean as well but, the occasional hurricane or tropical storm are one of those annoyances one would have to put up with. At this advanced age point in my life, I really dont think I have a stomach for the hassles.
However the distance between us and the eastern seaboard doesnt mean we have totally escaped Tropical Ophelia's reach! From what I have read her windy arms are hundreds of miles long...
This was actually a rather close call. My empty trash cart nearly took out several of my recently planted rose bushes!
My tall hibiscus was upended my that mean Ophelia! I think it will be ok, but wait! I see yet another victim if you look closely...
Yep my landscape solar light was nearly beheaded by that wench Ophelia lol. How dare you!
I am glad to see my shed is still in place. However she did manage to tip my trusty wheelbarrow!
So as I will join millions of others in cursing Tropical Storm Ophelia today, I do realize it could have been much worse for me and my heart goes out to those that will be without power. I mean how can one live without internet!

We've had a breezy couple of days and some rain off and on today, but nothing to bad other than a few heavy wind gusts or two.
Seems like the coast gets the brunt of many tropical storms and hurricanes. I can understand the draw of wishing to live there, if only you could exclude the storms.
Yep take away the storms, sharks, jellyfish, and gators and Im all in lol.
