Hello dear community, it is a pleasure to greet you. On the eve of this month of August, harvest time as determined by all these beautiful people, harvester and prosperous, I did not want to be left out and well I would like to show you the harvest of Patilla, so is called this fruit in my country Venezuela, we have in a small plot located outside the city where we live.
Les cuento que esta fruta no requiere de mucho trabajo ni para sembrar ni cosechar. Llevamos una patilla que compramos en un mercado de la ciudad porque en la parcela hace mucho calor y esta fruta aparte de hidratar es muy sabrosa. Los chicos se comieron la pulpa y las semillas caían lógicamente en la tierra y así fue como fue creciendo esta rica fruta. Tenemos un señor que cuida la parcela y en nos dice que regaba las demás plantas, y la lluvia fue de mucha ayuda.
This fruit does not require a lot of work to plant or harvest. We took a patilla that we bought in a market in the city because it is very hot in the plot and this fruit is not only hydrating but also very tasty. The children ate the pulp and the seeds fell logically on the ground and that is how this delicious fruit grew. We have a man who takes care of the plot and he tells us that he watered the other plants, and the rain was very helpful.
Nos toco el fin de semana ir a la parcela y nos encontramos con estas hermosas patillas. Los niños se divertían cosechando esta fruta, pero al picarla vimos su color rojo bellisimo y no solo eso al probarla la patilla estaba super dulce, los chicos emocionados comieron patilla hasta saciarse. Esta fruta tarda aproximadamente entre 65 días después que se siembra para cosecharse y necesita de mucha agua, así como mantener el suelo húmedo y pueden dar entre dos a 3 patillas o sandias.
It was our turn this weekend to go to the farm and we found these beautiful patillas. The kids had fun harvesting this fruit, but when we chopped it we saw its beautiful red color and not only that, when we tasted it the patilla was super sweet, the kids were excited and ate patillas until they were full. This fruit takes approximately 65 days after it is planted to be harvested and needs a lot of water, as well as keeping the soil moist and can give between two to 3 patillas or watermelons.
En cuanto a su valor nutricional podemos decir que nos ayuda a mantenernos hidratados ya que su principal elemento es el agua, protege la piel, contiene pocas calorías, mejora el sistema inmune entre otros beneficios. Así que le muestro las fotos de nuestra gran cosecha.
As for its nutritional value we can say that it helps us to stay hydrated as its main element is water, protects the skin, contains few calories, improves the immune system among other benefits. So I show you the photos of our great crop
Es bueno enseñar a los niños en valor de la naturaleza y sus frutos, que ellos aprendan a disfrutarla, alejarse un poco de la tecnología y dedicar un tiempo a recibir las bondades y beneficios que nos ofrece el mar, el aire, el sol, la lluvia como una manera natural de agradecerle a Dios por toda esa creación maravillosa como lo es nuestro mundo. Espero les agrade mi gran cosecha.
It is good to teach children the value of nature and its fruits, that they learn to enjoy it, get away from technology and dedicate some time to receive the goodness and benefits offered by the sea, the air, the sun, the rain as a natural way to thank God for all that wonderful creation as our world is. Hola @resplandor crepuscular jejeje bueno esa cosecha solo dos sandias nada mas fueron lo que cosecharon los niños, se la comieron ese mismo día como habrás observado en las fotos jaja. En realidad fuimos sorprendidos porque en ningún momento sembramos como tal sino que las semillas cayeron en buena tierra, toco regarlas y eso si cuidarlas el resto ya es historia.
