INDOCTRINATION SESSION DAY FOUR (4).

I praise the name of the Lord for the grace to be part of this indoctrination session day four. May his name alone be praised.

Today, we were taught of the content of prayers. I learnt that for God to answer my prayers, I must pray with the holiness of heart. According to the book of Matthew 15:19_20. It is from the heart that evil thought comes from. Murders, fornication, thefts. All these evil deeds are what defiles a man. washing of the hand does not defile a man. Also Jeremiah 17:9_10 made us to know that it is the lord who searches the heart and he is giving everyone according to the fruit of their doings. The heart of man is desperately evil and wicked. Let's be careful because know one knows what is in the heart of a man.
I understand that praying with your tongue while your heart is full of evil is nothing in the ears of God. Our hearts should be pure before praying. Also 1 Peter 3:7 said that the husband's should dwell with their wife according to knowledge. They should honour their wives, acknowledging that they are the weaker vessel before your prayers will be answered. God can not answer the prayer of a sinner. The condition given to man are not difficult. Only to repent and give Our life to Christ. According to Ephesians 4:31, we need to put away bitterness, malice, hatred and all manner of sins before we come to God in prayer. If our hearts are filled with all these sins, how then do we expect God to answer us. The book of Psalms says that we should hide the word of God in our hearts so that sin will be far from us. I have learnt that God is holy.we should therefore come before him with holiness of heart. The word of God is truth. We should learn how to clean our hearts and tongue before praying. Our yes should be yes and no should remain no. Being a hypocrite is evil before God. If there is deception in our hearts, our prayers will not be answered. Proverbs says that our mouths should be opened with wisdom. When our hearts is truthful, then our tongue also. The right way to pray is the bible. From all of these, I learnt that we must be holy, truthful, and filled with love for God before our prayers will be answered.
