INDOCTRINATION SESSION DAY THREE (3).

Thanking God for another wonderful day in his presence. Today's teaching, Brother Eli started by encouraging us to always test every spirit. According to 2 Peter 2:1. Those days, there were already false prophets among the people and false teachers. The word of God is our standard of learning. It is an exact word. We should not accept any contrary word. The book of Ecclesiastes says, we should compare one with another to find which one is true. Book of Thessalonian also admonished us to prove all things. We should abstain from what is evil and uphold that which is good.

HOW DO WE CALL UPON GOD.

According to John 9:31, God does not hear sinners. He listens to one who worship him and do his will. We were taught that the prayer of an evil man is in vain. The book of Proverbs says that the prayer of a wicked and evil man is an abomination before God. While God is delighted with the prayer of a righteous man.

WHAT IS THE RIGHT WAY OF PRAYING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WORD OF GOD.

MATTHEW 6:7 Says, that when we pray, we should not be repeating words thinking that our much words will make God to hear us. Verse 8 says that God knows the things we need even before we speak. God made us to understand that before we ask, he will answer.Praying Repeatably is prohibited before God. Ecclesiastes says that our words should be few. Our hearts should not be hasty to utter any thing before God. We were taught that the doctrine of the rosary which came in year 1214 was not in the bible and therefore, it is not the doctrine of Christ. For our prayers to be answered, we should avoid show up. We should abstain from being hypocrites who come out and stand to show the whole world that they are praying. Even Jesus stepped aside, fell his face to the ground before praying. Prayer is a private matter between you and God.

We were also taught that the man is the head of a woman and Christ is the head of a man.
In today's teaching, I learnt that My prayer to God is a private business. I must also be upright for my prayers to be answered. The bible made me to understand that before I ask, he already knows.
