Market Friday Review - Wholesaler Fish Market in The Philippines
I kept exploring myself how i could buy something cheaper. Imagine how I was shocked the value of 1000pesos (1 thousand) if we were in the market for our daily needs. Before, if I have 100pesos, I can buy almost all that we needed but lately, if you are not wise, you will spend a lot of money but still you could'nt complete your bucketlist. Everything are too expensive so I preffered to buy in a wholesaler place like this fish market that I visited.
*This is the entrance of the fish market. My son is working here as a collector to all tickets of all the coming product from the fishcar before selling in public.
The place is along the seaport. Every 3am, people who work there, the fishcar from other province, buyer or seller were flocking earlier to catch the fresh fishes from the sea and from the dealer from other cities of the Philippines.
I arrived there at 7am and my niece was also working there. She is a laborer who arrange the fishes of the retailer to their sterofoam or boxes with ice. The job is just a sideline because she has a job in the nearby fruit processor plant.
She is my eldest niece. She got married to young but she is responsible mom to her 3 children.I appreciated her how she did it. Working in a wet market like this is something not easy and the smell of the fishes but she did it for her family. She is beautiful.
I am so proud how brave and strong this woman. I surprised her with my visit that early morning to find out what she was doing busy everytime I invited her to come to our house.
Look at the people who visited the wholesaler market for si they can avail a cheapest price.
I noticed the people like my niece who lend and errand just to earned to support family. That was a touching scenario of the people, they were sweating with the smell of the fish.
Tons of big and small fresh fishes but I got my phone lowbat. I didn't able to take picture the different kind of fishes in the other side.
I sat down in a makeshift cafeteria and had a chocolate drink. I had no breakfast that time.
Big truck for the tons of fishes. Thwy travelled from other places.
I noticed this gasoline was being sold by bottle because there was no gasoline station nearby.
This motorcycle with side car were filled with fishes in their sterofoam and delivered in any part of the mountain.
This man was carrying some ice and fishes and being paid by the customer as labor. He was a laborer.
Looking the busy people made my tears falling down. I am one of those laborer in this world. They are so lucky that they live with their family on their side. But how about me? I travelled miles away, get a good salary but no one here in my side. They earned a little but they have their love ones beside everyday. I missed my family but this is the reality of our life in this world. Sometimes I felt guilt and unfair but God designed my life like this. I am still grateful for what He has given to me.

Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.
