Wednesday Walk That Make Me Smile - Visiting My Old Friends

The number of FILIPINO OVERSEAS WORKERS here are increasing despite of all treats and many unfortunate situations of some workers gained by their employers. Not all are good, not all are bad. Whatever situation we have, it is or those are part of our sacrifices for the sake of our family and love ones.

I have a friend who work here in my employers sister from Davao Philippines for 15 years and she never spend any vacation. One time of my vacation, I met his son crying hugging me for missing his mother. I told her to spend a vacation sometimes but she refused. I respect and even her boss respect her decision.

We were born at the same year 1970, she was born in April and I was in October 1970.

I visited her because it had been a long time that we never seen each other and I want to see her situation. She is not too lucky to have a good boss but because of her plan for her family she sacrificed most of the time. She have 3 sons. The two sons were big the time she lefts them but the youngest was 6 months old. The two sons have already their family and the youngest is now in high school. She have 5 grandchildren, whom she never meet in person. When I saw her last night, I felt bad, she is too thin. When I go to my vacation next year, she will go with me for good and never come back again.

Today is all Saint day, I remember my best friend together for 17years who died last year because of ovary cancer. She never mind her illness and it took 5 months only when her belly became like a pregnant. She went home and died young,in the Philippines during the day of my vacation. The plane landed in the airpoft and I got the message informing me that my friend was already dead. That's why I treasure all my old friendships. I visited them sometimes.

The one in right side who was smiling was my late friend in heaven now.

My 20 years OFW friendship

Sahara came from Cotabato and I was acquainted her 20 years ago. She is 43 years old and I also visited her in her employer's house last night. She is so nice to me and we never been in arguments just like Lilia from Davao. She has no child and her first husband betrayed her many times. Now she has new love and was her first love during high school.

The two ladies I met last night with an Indonesian are good friend but we had no picture last night because she was already in her bed and sleepy.

To be continue with the story how I walked from my employer's home to their home for 2 hours. I was not tired and we were happy seeing each other. They were pleased that I visited them.

In this place, I passed by the circle going to our house and I was walking all the time in the center island to keep myself safe from intruders. The time was 11:30pm already.
