DOUBLE MOUTH BACK POCKET

Good morning everyone, this morning I will be showing you guys how I always fixed my back pockets, I know definitely there are different methods, and we all chose the ones that is simple and gives a perfect output.

Before now I found it so difficult to fix a back pocket cause of its technicality, your hand must be straight, what you do to A must be done to B without any difference ant it must be well notched, if you notch across you starting or ending point of the pocket you won't have a good output so another thing that makes your pocket perfect is your scissors, the tip of your scissors must be very sharp like extremely sharp.

Let me take you through the process.

Firstly you determine the position where your back pocket will be, and the standard is 3.5 inches downward from the waist, dividing the waist into two. Then you can chalk the pocket.

After that has been done, you get some pieces of the fabric and apply paper stay.

Place one piece with the paper stay beside the line drawn and sew a quarter in line with the line drawn and you do the same on the other side, then you notch and like I've said make sure your notch doesn't go across the starting point, I mean where you started your sewing, after that you turn inside the pieces leaving outside a quarter, and you will do that to the both side and then sew the edges.

Beautifully done! This is a technique I have not yet tried, as I do mostly dresses rather than tailored clothes.
