Good morning Hivers πŸ’–πŸ’– this morning I will be taking you through the steps of making a chest pocket for a suit.

Suit pockets are the most important places a designer has to pay serious attention to, cause they are the most revealing places someone would see and commend your work. So these pockets must be well fixed and very neat.

A suit chest pocket is always at the left side.

PROCESS

first thing to do is cutting some pieces from the fabric, in a slant form and make sure it's up to 6 inches thought the pocket should not be more than 4 inches.
After cutting, apply hair stay then you cut a piece of linen to turn it with.

CREATING THE POCKET

FIXING THE POCKET TO THE BODY

firstly you'll measure from the arm hole 2 inches then mark, from there you'll measure the pocket size which is 4 inches.
