Relief at last

As humans, we all have our days where about 80% of your activities just go wrong. Earlier today, I woke up, feeling tired and all. I actually slept very late last night. I did my morning chores as usual and proceeded to have some fun time with my phone. I was then informed by my mom that an aunt of mine was coming over. I dread this said aunt and I knew her visit was going to make my day more stressful than it already is. I don't find her cool or accommodating in any way. I love my phone so much due to the fun it brings me and every little spare time I have, I find myself reaching out to my phone for company. But whenever she's around and isn't talking to my mom or distracted by some other things, she begins to nag about how I'm obsessed with my phone and how she is scared that I might have been doing negative things with my phone.

Today particularly, when she came, I decided I wasn't going to use my phone in her presence. Let me maintain a good girl status for once where she is concerned and it worked for her but didn't turn out well for me. I plugged my phone in the room and sat down, talked with her for a while and went back to my phone. Lo and behold, I don't know how her kid did it but he had tampered with my charger and it got stuck in the phone. This wasn't something I could just wait for a little while as I needed my phone before the day runs out to do some important stuffs. I was angry and at the same time, trying to act rational.

I took the phone to my mom, and explained to her how I needed my phone on before the day runs out and how action needed to be taken immediately. I took it to a technician around and luckily it was just a change of the charging port that was required. So I got the phone fixed and working before evening and was able to ensure the effectiveness of the new charging port with my powerbank. Why did I have to resort to my powerbank?

The light in Nigeria isn't something that can be relied on. I wouldn't say we don't usually have light where I stay because we do have light for minimum of 16 hours a day. It's just that I thought they would have improved the light standards due to the recent increase in the electricity tariff plans. I believed that with the increment, we would have more power supply and all but that wasn't the case. And it so happened that today that I needed them to supply us with power, they refused.

Well, I'm glad I had my powerbank to support me during the day. If it was possible to retaliate, I would have found a way to do so. Sadly, it is not possible. Anyways, I'm glad they didn't decide to deny us light the whole day. I can now read a book without fear of my phone battery running down. They've brought it now.

Nothing parents and family members haven't told me about my phone 😂😂😂
I choose to simply nod, smile and continue using it 😂😂

A kid broke your charging port. Well that's the last that kid is coming to your house 😂😂

After they talk to you, you continue using your phone? Haa, you have mind. When it's not like I have a house of my own already.
And I can't be the one to decide whether the kid still comes. I'm not the owner of the house😂
