Before You Go [Cover] || Hive Open Mic #134 [ENG-ESP]
It has been a century since I last made an entry. Life has been typical. But here I am today for Hive Open Mic Week 134 with Before You Go by Lewis Capaldi.
If you do not know this song, well, life goes on. It is one of the many songs in its album that I fell in love with and listened to a hundred times over when I first heard Lewis.
I chose this song for the theme particularly for its meaning and how I resonate with it. I mean, we have all (maybe not) been in love and messed up one way or another. I know I have, and I never really knew she was hurting. If only I'd known, it may not have faded little by little until there was nothing at all.
Anyway, such is life. We can only be better if we actually learn from our mistakes. And without further ado, enjoy the song, if you haven't already done so by now.

Si no conocéis esta canción, bueno, la vida sigue. Es una de las muchas canciones de su álbum que me enamoró y escuché cien veces cuando escuché por primera vez a Lewis.
Elegí esta canción para el tema sobre todo por su significado y por cómo resueno con ella. Es decir, todos hemos (quizá no) estado enamorados y hemos metido la pata de una manera u otra. Sé que lo he hecho, y nunca supe realmente que estaba sufriendo. Si lo hubiera sabido, tal vez no se hubiera desvanecido poco a poco hasta que no hubiera nada en absoluto.
En fin, así es la vida. Sólo podemos ser mejores si realmente aprendemos de nuestros errores. Y sin más, disfrutad de la canción, si no lo habéis hecho ya a estas alturas.

The thing is, I had not idea it was that way when I was shooting. I could have made a different one, but that's when the backup gen went off. Electricity is not regular here. So, I just had to make do with the one here. I was bummed to find that my guitar was hidden. This week's entry will be different.

I didn't know this song was done by Lewis Capaldi, it's an amazing cover, the guitar cover gave it a countryish vibe, but, this one was a absolutely wonderful, well-done though. Hitting the right notes and your voice was brilliant too.

It is never easy to sing Lewis Capaldi's songs, but I love them and so I just try to deliver something. I am glad that you found it lovely. And my guitar and I share one mind. We often come to a simple agreement to do something nice.

And what I did in 2:13 was actually unintended. I had started off with the wrong pitch for that section and so I couldn't reach the really high note, so I just switched to falsetto. I am glad it turned out well.

You see that guitar not showing ehnn...it was so unintentional. Infact, everything in this video was unintentional. What I had intended to do was completely different.
I had already layered some spicy guitar parts. And my intention was to sing separately, so I could give full attention to my voice. But then, my recording software crashed, and I lost the audio. Using the phone's recording was just not going to work because we had the gen on and it was really loud. So when I realised that I was running out of fuel and time, I just had to start recording again and I did not adjust the camera. And then I was done, boom...the gen went off. You get now?
