The ruling, issued by Justice Olukayode Adeniyi this past Monday, brought to light the unsettling situation where Emefiele had been held in custody by security agencies without a fair trial, deeming it not only illegal but also in clear violation of his fundamental rights protected by the 1999 Constitution.
