MCGI MASS INDOCTRINATION DAY 9 SERVICE HELD ON 4TH MAY, 2023

Good day my dear brothers and sisters of MCGI Cares and hive, I welcome you to my Blog. I remain Olu Thomas and I will be sharing with this wonderful community what I learned from day 9 Mass Indoctrination. I'm sincerely learning.

LESSON LEARNED

I learned from the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ to provoke one another unto good works, just the way Bro Eli is provoking us through the word of God to do good, is our obligation to do same to believers that are blind to the truth, we should provoke one another to do good.

And i also learned not to despise the gathering of brethren. The gathering of brethren is not a place for trouble or a place where we look down on each other, hell no, in some denominations they makes it difficult for some brethren to come freely to the gathering because of the rules they gave, some denominations will say if you don't have offering, don't come to church, while some will stop you if you're not dressed to their taste, such denominations hardly recognise you, if you're not nicely dress. That's not the gathering God is addressing in the church not to despise. The main aim of the gathering of brethren is to build one another in the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ and to provoke one another unto good work, we gather to help one another build their Faith in Christ. While we gather together if there's any brother or sister that has no cloth, food, money or shelter, we have deacons in the church and we make provision for such set of people, we don't send them away from the church, but rather embrace them and show them love, we do good to them and all what the church of God is doing is to the glory of God. Thanks be to our God. We should not mock our fellow men just because they don't have it or are wearing one cloth to the Church, one's you notice such an individual, you trust God to help them buy new cloths and feed them and your reward is in heaven.

I learned that in the church we should not be discriminating, James 2:2-4, talks about two different people that came to the Church and you show concern to one and neglect the other one just because he don't have or he is not rich like the other man, you ask the one wearing golden rings and wristwatch and having expensive attire to seat on good chairs and where he will be recognized and you ask the poor man to seat on the floor, that's not fair and the person seating on the floor will not be free to come to the Church of God next time, because he's hurt and treated in a disgraceful manner. We are urge not to treat our fellow men like that, in the church there are brethren that has nothing, so we that have food and houses we can support those ones in the church. There is joy when brethren gather together and we are to exhalt one another.

WHAT TO DO WHEN WE GATHER TOGETHER

The words of God makes us to understands that in our gathering, everyone of us has a sound, a hymn, teaching, everyone has something to offer. Our gathering is for the edifying of one another. We have choirs in the church, while they are singing we the congregation should join them and sing to the glory of God. Singing is very important for our gathering, its makes the presence of God visible and it send evil spirit away. We have different types of song, there is a song for fathers, for mothers, sisters, brothers, etc we sing songs of worship to God. Songs are very powerful, David in the Bible sang and the hand of God was visible, David sang to Saul and the spirit departed from him, the angels in heaven also adore and sing to the glory of God, they bow and adore His majesty, singing Holy is the Lord, singing Hallelujah. So, same happens when we are gathering together in church, singing is sufficient to drive away evils, with singing alone the power of God is been manifest, singing has the ability to sets the captives free.
