I created this digital art piece for a friend in Iran, a fellow creative with incredible talent and enthusiasm.
I created this piece with Autodesk sketchbook, the process was a wonderful one and quite enlightening because i discovered some new things about my art and how to utilise the app to create satisfying results, i will share my findings and process steps so that others can learn a thing or two from it.

The process
THE LINE ART

The outline was done with a technical pen of 1.0 tip size and the details with the same pen of tip size 0.7.
The outline was looking sharp and rough but i didn't pay much attention to it because this is just the first step of the process and adjustments can be later on.
Colour; the cloth

I painted the cloth with technical pen, adjusting the tip size to match the requirements of filling all areas that needs to be painted.

Colours and shade; the face

Picking colour for the skin is of high importance, because whatever colour you pick will greatly affect how good your work will look eventually.i picked a light brown shade, a little tanned but not obvious then i used a darker shade of that same colour to create the shades, i used a much light shade of that same colour for highlights and then i blended both the shades and the highlights in the spot to give the work a smooth milky effect.

The hair

I used the same tool and the same method i used to create the skin to create the hair; colour shades and blends.

After i was done with all the work, i erased most of the outline and detail lines to give the work a more solid look, i have never tried doing digital art without the line art before so i used this to see what the final work will look like without them and it turned out pretty good.
I hope to create more works like this.

Thank you for veiwing my post
