MCGI Cares Live Event 02/08/2022.

When it comes to MCGI programs, there is always so much to learn and lots of lessons to take home. Today, we learnt about the topic Envy.

Envy was gotten from the Latin word invidere, which means look upon. Envy is a feeling of jealousy, absence of contentment and the urge to constantly get what does not belong to you.

It is draining and exhausting to be filled with envy, it makes you disregard the victory of other people.Envy eventually results in failure, love definitely does not envy.

With love in our heart towards God and towards our neighbors, we will fall into the category of the people who envy.

We were encouraged from 1Cor13:4 which says charity suffereth long, it is kind, charity envied not; charity vaunteth not itself, it is not puffed up.
If we have love in our heart then pride and every form of arrogance will be far away from us, charity never envies, it takes someone without charity and love to begin to envy other people.

It takes genuine love for God and our fellow men to leave aside every form of envy and arrogance.
We were also encouraged in today’s meeting to try all that we can to be of help to others. We should not tell them to depart from us when we clearly have the ability to offer help to them.
Let us read through James2:16 which says and one of you say unto them; depart in peace and be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body, what doth or profit.

As a preacher or career of the gospel, you don’t tell people to accept God’s word when they are telling you they are hungry. Their physical desires should be meet first before the souls is meet, do not send them away asking them to be filled.

We are supposed to be merciful people as Christian’s, our task is to be completely merciful people helping people as much as our capacity can carry us.
Mathew5:7 Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.
If we are merciful, we are going to obtain mercy in return. All we have to do is to, is to show that we care and offer help in the best way possible too.

As Christian’s, we are to be hardworking people, we are not supposed to be lazy since laziness leads to poverty according to God’s word.

Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.

MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.

II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
