MCGI Topic Review | How do I overcome peer pressure biblically
As a Christian, you might be wondering how do we ever come from prayer pressure. Some of our friends, classmates or people around us can influence us, push us to do things like that, to not align with God because of clout or anything to impress.
When you're in this kind of situation, you can be at an unstable moment. However, the Bible keeps on educating us that I'm not the only one. God is the only one to assist, but God wants us to keep standing up to what is good.
In the book of Proverbs 1:10, the word of God says, My son, should there be a temptation of sin, I say, consent not. These mistakes also shows how prayer pressure can really affect us in our life.
Knowing what we are in Christ and how to overcome prayer pressure, we need to go stronger in everything we do. According to the Bible, in the book of Romans 12 vs 2, it says that, do not be in accord with this word, but change by the renewing of your mind.
The verse reminds me that we should not imitate bad things. We should think like God. Wrong advice can also mislead us. Now that we should pray, let God help us in everything we do.
In addition to this, similar to that, to select good friends, one that can impact our life, the one that will not mock us because we follow the will of God. It's not necessarily simple, but yet, with the power of God, we can still overcome it and we choose peace instead of people that will deviate us from the will of God.
