THE NEIGHBORHOOD (TTT)

Not many people seem to like bands or music made by a group of people...I was going through some comments on this particular band and some of them weren't really encouraging or nice. I don't seem to understand why though. I feel music made by a group of people gives us an understanding of how their relationship is. To be able to produce something melodic, artistic and uniquely beautiful, there's always a need for chemistry. Yes, cooperation too. Making music as a group seems like a lot of effort as it requires understanding between group members and understanding someone can be very hectic.

The Neighborhood is an American Alternative Rock Band founded in Newbury Park, California and consists of five band members. Jesse Rutherford, Zach Abels, Jeremy Freedman, Mikey Margot and Brandon Fried. Their genres revolves around alternative pop, indie rock and pop rock. To be honest, I'm low-key not a listener of band music,I take a lot of time selecting and choosing band songs to play and so far The Neighborhood managed to find its way into the three band music I listen to.

Sweater Weather is part of the 2013 debut album, "I love you" written by the Neighborhood. It was an amazing hit with over two billion views on Spotify, settling a high bar for subsequent works. Its lyrics resonates with the ethos of longing and youthful love. The song's popularity skyrocketed in 2020 due to its extension on TikTok with over 2 million videos made using the song.
Personally and entirely in my opinion,TikTok spoils the feeling of music sometimes. No hate to TikTok, it's just really annoying sometimes.

Softcore is another fantastic song! It has a seductive and laid-back vibe that's perfect for winding down or setting a chill atmosphere. The smooth vocals and mesmerizing instrumentals create a captivating experience. It's that kind of song you play when you want to daydream about yourself in another place or city.

And Reflections. I don't have a favourite song from The Neighborhood but I really like this one a lot. I like it for its lyrics. I like it for the calming sensation it gives. I like it because sometimes when I'm staring into nothing,it flows with the atmosphere and the feeling of nothingness.

Thanks for reading.🫶
