Come with me to visit the chocolate factory... (eng-tr)

I have been in an intense thesis writing process for the last week. On December 5, I will send my thesis to a professor for editing. On January 9, I will send the edited version of the thesis to the jury members. On January 9, I have my thesis defense. According to the rules of the school, I have to send my thesis to the jury one month before the defense. As if that wasn't enough, there is an energy conference organized by our department every year. I will make a presentation there. The conference date is December 9th :) I sent an abstract to that conference but I haven't prepared a presentation yet. I don't need to mention the intensity at work. Fortunately, the #worldcup started last week and the bosses went to #Qatar. I had time for my thesis last week.

While all this was going on, last Friday I went to the #chocolate factory where my uncle is a partner. The brand is called Adamas Chocolate. The word meaning of Adamas comes from the Ancient Greek word for diamond. I think that was one of the best things about last week. There are some of the chocolates in the photos below. They produce all the chocolates you see in the photos. In the last photo, you can see the chocolate factory from the outside. The production is on the top floor.

Son bir haftadır yoğun bir tez yazma süreci içerisindeyim. En kritik son iki haftanın içerisinde bulunuyorum. % Aralık'ta tezimi editlemesi için bir hocama yollayacağım. 9 Ocak'ta da tezin editlenmiş halini jüri üyelerine yollayacağım. 9 Ocak tarihinde de tez savunmam var. Okulun kurallarına göre tezimi jüriye savunmadan bir ay önce yollamam gerekiyor. Bu da yetmezmiş gibi bölümümüzün her yıl düzenlediği bir enerji konferansı var. Orada da sunum yapacağım. Konferans tarihi 9 Aralık :) O konferansa özet yolladım ama daha sunum hazırlayamadım. İşteki yoğunluktan bahsetmeme gerek yok sanırım. neyse ki geçen hafta dünya kupası başladığı için patronlar Katar'a gitti. Geçen hafta tezime vakit ayırabildim.

Tüm bunlar olurken geçen cuma günü dayımın ortağı olduğu çikolata fabrikasına gittim. Markanın adı Adamas Çikolata. Adamas'ın kelime anlamı Eski Yunanca olan elmas kelimesinden geliyormuş. Geçen haftanın en güzel yanlarından biri de oydu sanırım. Aşağıdaki fotoğraflarda da çikolatalardan bazıları var. Fotoğrafllarda gördüğünüz tüm çikolataları kendileri üretiyorlar. Son fotoğrafta çikolata fabrikasını dışardan görebilirsiniz. İmalatı en üst katta yer alıyor.

The chocolates in the first photo are mostly produced for special occasions. For example, last week they prepared a nice concept for teacher's day. Now they are intensively preparing concepts for New Year. You can see the details from the link I gave above.

İlk fotoğraftaki çikolatalar daha çok özel günler için üretiliyor. Mesela geçen hafta öğretmenler günü için güzel bir konsept hazırlamışlardı. Şimdi de yoğun bir şekilde yılbaşı için konsept hazırlıyorlar. Yukarıda verdiğim linkten detayları görebilirsiniz.

The chocolates taste good. Especially the chocolates you see above are new. It was the first time they produced chocolates of this size and put them on the market. I love the taste, the hazelnut one the most :) By the way, you can order from anywhere you want.

Çikolataların tadı güzel. Özellikle yukarıda gördüğünüz çikolataları yeni ürettiler. İlk kez bu büyüklükte çikolata üretip piyasaya sundular. Tadına bayıldım. En çok fındıklı olanına :) Bu arada istediğiniz yerden sipariş verebilirsiniz.

The type of chocolate seen above is also very interesting. It's chocolate with dried orange slices. There is both milk and dark. Although they say dark chocolate is healthy, I prefer milk. Gourmets don't call milk chocolate. For them, chocolate should be plain.

Yukarıda görünen çikolata çeşidi de çok ilginç. Kurutulmuş portakal dilimli çikolata. Hem sütlü hem de bitter var. Her ne kadar bitter çikolata sağlıklı deseler de ben sütlü olanını tercih ediyorum. Gurme olanlar sütlü olana çikolata demiyorlar. Onlara göre çikolata sade olmalı.

And these boxes resembling a painting are chocolate packages. Each one is specially designed and produced. I would order chocolate just to have one of these packages. It can be considered for special occasions or as a gift.

Ve bu tabloyu andıran kutular ise çikolata kutuları. Her biri özel olarak dizayn edilip üretilmiş. Sırf bu paketlerden birine sahip olmak için bile sipariş edilebilir. Özel günler ya da hediye olarak düşünülebilir.

The factory is located in Istanbul/Hadımköy. This is a view taken from the outside. If I go there again, I will share a more detailed post about this place. I want to visit the production this time.
