Hive Open mic week 159, I am @onos-f and our theme for the week which is chosen by our recent spotlight artist @jesus-son is 'A TRUE FRIEND'. This is a very beautiful theme and I'm glad to be able to relate with this theme with a song titled; 'WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS' despite all odds. My week has never been this tight but I was bent on making this entry. I’m so glad I was able to achieve it. Congratulations to me. ☺

A basic question we need to ponder on this week is; 'HOW DO WE KNOW WHO A TRUE FRIEND IS? The friend who always visits us? The one who always calls us on phone? The one who always provides for us? The one who is able to keep our secrets? The one we share everything we have with? The one who gives us food and other good things? The litany of question is endless; however, no matter how caring our earthly friends may be, they change with changing years and they may fail us someday especially when we hurt them either consciously or unconsciously, or when they perceive something negative about us, or when they misunderstand us, or when they are influenced by other forces, Etc. Be that as it may, if we have Jesus as our friend, he will always care for us no matter what we do, be it right or wrong. Each time we go astray, he works very hard to bring us back to the right part, and when we are on the right part, he protects and leads us to an expected end. Indeed, WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS? As you listen to me play my Flute and Recorder and also sing for you, I hope you derive some meaning spending your time with me. Kindly pay attention to the beautiful lyrics of this song. Cheers 🥂
