Well, I've been working hard to earn Starbits and have invested a further $5.50 in people cards since my last blog.

My current stats are looking good:

image.png

The Ego is still subdued, even with 8,000 fans.

I'm Level 59, and am 1897 of 2950 experience to crack Level 60.

Only another 15 Levels after that to start the 'Band Auditions' Mission.

I Rock!

Card purchases over the last week or so have been as follows:

16/09/22

image.png

You guessed it, I completed 15 'Fan Club' Missions and got the 'George' Formby card, after all who else could it possibly be!

image.png

I also had a 'senior moment' and bought a single Fans adoration for upwards of 1000 Starbits.

19/05/22:

I wanted to get one of these and the Rabbit Radio whilst they are still available, bit seriously doubt I will get the 'a' versions.

21/05/22:

image.png

Well you don't buy a Stradivarius for your first lesson do you!

image.png

Another 5 sober Fans for a mere 2300 Starbits - I was ripped off! Not cool man.

Reviewing the People Card Stats:

That's 7 people cards, of which 5 are ladies, not quite sure what to make of that.

725 new Fans
25 extra Luck
800 additional Skill
17 more Income Modifier (IM)

I could have bought a Vehicle for the Starbits I had to get an extra 550 Fans and I very nearly did, what put me off was I already had this vehicle twice.

By buying these people cards, the same Starbits got me a whole lot more.

So by buying cards carefully I got more bang for my buck.

Well it's getting late, so it's time to turn in.

So until next time,

Fare thee well fellow musicians.

I have read that some ego is permanent?

By the looks of your account having waaay more skills than fans subdues it. What about after you do missions, does your ego go up and for how long?

Hello Metzli,

Any Ego from Missions is permanent and this value will only go up over time.

If I get a lot of Drunken Fans from missions, this can increase my Ego.
But Drunken Fans forget about you after 12 hours so my Ego would the diminish again.

Having a high Luck value helps to get more Skill from Music Lessons, but it also increases the chances and quantities of Drunk Fans.

I like to have a higher Skill to combat these random increases of Drunken Fans to reduce the chance that my Ego kicks in.

So by buying lots of luck you get lots of free temporary Fans to increase your Starbits earnings potential and having a larger buffer of Skill means you don't lose Starbits earnings potential.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

This kind of answers my questions.

I see that the ego meter can only get to 100, does this mean that eventually, because of the missions I do, my meter will get to 100 no matter what?

Its confusing because I see some people with really high levels and zero ego and I feel like I will never be able to do that because I already have an ego that is in the 20's even though my skill is higher than my fans.

Or does this mean that I have to stop doing missions throughout the day so taht my ego never gets high?

Apologies Metzli,

I have only just seen your reply.

The simple solution to Ego:

Is to complete lots of Music Lessons to increase Skill and reduce Ego or buy People cards with a lot more Skill value than Fans.

The more indepth explanation I have tried to put in words below:

Ego can be controlled by buying people cards with a lot more skill than fans.

Or by completing 'Music Lesson' Missions.

I have a lot of 'Guitar' Instrument cards, so it is more efficient for me to do the 'Guitar Mission':

image.png

(More Guitar cards = more Guitar Luck = more Skill from Guitar Missions)

as opposed to 'Singing Lessons' as I do not have many Mic Instrument cards:

So by picking the most efficient Music Lesson I can get more Skill per lesson.

To avoid getting excessive Ego from Missions:

Try to do different types of missions as the ego points of a mission increase each time you do them per day and reset at midnight GMT.

So if you repeatedly did 'Busking with a Licence' 10 times, the points going towards your ego will increase excessively.

Also doing the same mission more than twice in succession will upset your fans and reduce Starbits earned by that type of mission.

I suppose the best way to put it is ...

If I get too many Fans it goes to my head and I get cocky, this upsets my Fans so I earn less.

A bit like when The Beatles said they were more popular than Jesus (or something like that) and their American Fans started burning all their Beatles records. The Beatles got too cocky, this upset their Fans which meant less income from Fans. It was very Egotistical.

If I do Music Lessons this grounds me, when I make mistakes in the lessons I learn that I'm still mortal and not a God. It stops me from getting too cocky.

The Beatles had to publicly apologise for their comments and eat a lot of humble pie if I remember correctly.

To combat this you need more Skill than (Fans + 'Ego from Missions').

Once Ego is below 0% it would be an idea to do at least one Music Lesson' per day.

Hope that helps...
