Points from Mass indoctrination (day 3) 14/04/2021

Peter 2:1
There are false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among teachers. They will introduce destructive heresies in secret, even denying the sovereign Lord that bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.

There so many false prophets even back in the days up till now. The Bible need be the standard of our learning.

We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will.

Doing God's will requires doing things the way Jesus did them

Matthew 6:7&8 (NIV)
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

There are people using useless repetitions in prayers they repeat same thing as if God did not hear them

Matthew 26:39 (NIV)
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

*When Jesus Christ prayed in the garden of Gethsemane, He went a little farther and fell on His face and prayed. That is the posture we are to take while praying.

Psalm 95:6
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;

When we pray, we are to kneel down and face down. We are not to kneel and face up.

We kneel down and face down to show sign of respect to God because when you meet the Queen of England or the president of any nation or even an elder, you do show sign of respect by bowing down how much more God.

1 Corinthians 11:4&5 and verse 8-10
Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.
But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved.
For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;
neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels.

Apostle is trying to tell us something here, on how a man and woman need to be while praying

A man is not expected to pray while covering his head and it is the opposite for the women who are required to cover their own heads while praying.

The man is the head of every woman and the head of every man is Jesus Christ while the head of Jesus Christ is God.
