SECRETS OF BECOMING CONTENTED 5

Hello beautiful people. Let's look at the difference between wants and needs.

When we understand the benefits of being content, we will be able to distinguish between those things we want and those things we need. When we are content, we will not require more than what we need. The abundance of the present is enough to lead to a joyful and positively healthy life.

This can lead to the realization that joy doesn't come from material things alone, it comes from deep within. When we decide to make this distinction, we use a simple method.

Will that thing affect the quality of your life? If not, it's a need. Will that thing affect the quality of the lives of those around you? If not, it is a want.

When we can differentiate, we stop overbearing ourselves with stress, reducing the list of our wants even more. You learn to enjoy the little you have and hope that it grows to more while you work on creating more pleasurable experiences.

In the end, our inner fuel is contentment, it matters more than the car you drive or the house you live in, if you wish to feel the essence of contentment you must practice gratitude because you are aware that nothing remains permanent, change is constant.

Understand that material things do not often promote or result in long-term satisfaction or contentment, it is about understanding your view of life and the way you offer. The more you are thankful, especially for the present, the more you are fulfilled, I must note that when you have done all you can individually to attain a level of contentment, you must then seek help, either therapy or counseling, reach out to a licensed and caring professional practitioner.

The Absence of contentment in our lives can cause a situation of crises and chaos where we find covetousness, greed, lack of empathy, lack of peace of mind, discomfort in a proper sense, and restlessness.

These can lead people to commit unspeakable crimes, create evil plots, and make them engage in several printable acts just to have a sense of satisfaction in their desires. It is quite unfortunate that many people think life is a race where we must be the next at everything or have everything we desire in life at once.

Don't get it wrong, we all deserve that fancy car, that big house, a better-paying job, and more money, power, wealth, position, and fame. We are dependent on these to show we are living the good life and there is nothing wrong with desiring them and putting in the effort to acquire or achieve them

We need to be able to just sit down, relax, and look at all we have achieved already, check the distance we have covered so that we don't stretch ourselves so thin that we are unable to go on, we must be able to gauge our strength so that we will finish strong than lavishing our strength due to greed.

There is a fine line between ambition and greed, one is a healthy dose of desire to become more and the other is an unhealthy need to have everything even what doesn't belong to us. After we have ticked off every point or milestone of achievement on our list we still do not feel great. We have some uneasy feeling that something is still missing.

What do you think is missing?

It is contentment.
