The Mercy of God

Good day beautiful people. Talking about Joseph's story, something happened to him despite the fact that he was a favoured man. It happened that his master's wife began to lust after Joseph.

Day by day gave him signals for him to lie with her but Joseph didn't respond until she confronted him and said "Lie with me" but he refused because she was his master's wife and the man had committed all that he had to his hand. And then Joseph said something...

39:9b How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

Joseph was more concerned about what God would say if he did such. Many of us today just do and act anyhow without thinking of what God would say about what we are doing whether good or bad. We should learn from Joseph in this aspect and make sure we put our lives in check.

This woman kept pestering Joseph day by day until one day she caught him by his garment and said "Lie with me" and Joseph left his garment in her hand, and fled, yes, he ran away. How many of us can do that in this generation? Are you living for God or yourself? Think about it.

Now when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, she called the men of her house, and lied that Joseph wanted to lie with her and then she cried with a loud voice which made him leave his garment with her and fled.

She also told her husband the same story when he got back and when his master heard the words of his wife, his wrath was kindled and Joseph was put into the prison, but still it was recorded that even in prison, the LORD was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison and everything that he did, the LORD made it to prosper.
