Cada una de nosotras tenemos cientos de experiencias y enseñanzas, miles de caídas y retrasos; millones de lágrimas y gritos. Pero tenemos algo mucho más poderoso, la fuerza, esa fuerza que desde fuera no se ve, esa fuerza que nos hace más valientes y confiados.

Each one of us has hundreds of experiences and teachings, thousands of falls and delays; millions of tears and cries. But we have something much more powerful, strength, that strength that is not seen from the outside, that strength that makes us braver and more confident.

¿Que podría enseñarte? ¿Qué es lo más útil que tengo?

What could I teach you? What is the most useful thing I have?

Podría enseñarte a seguir adelante cuando sientes que el dolor no te deja avanzar, podría enseñarte a caminar sobre lodo con los tobillos agarrados por cadenas; podría enseñarte a levantarte cuando has caído en cien abismos, cuando has rodado cuesta abajo.

It could teach you how to keep going when you feel that pain won't let you move forward, it could teach you how to walk on mud with your ankles gripped by chains; it could teach you how to get up when you've fallen into a hundred chasms, when you've rolled downhill.

En mi vida he tenido muchos altibajos, he llorado millones de veces, he creído que nunca superaría muchos obstáculos. Me he deprimido y he pensado que no sirvo para ir más allá.

In my life I have had many ups and downs, I have cried millions of times, I have believed that I would never overcome many obstacles. I have been depressed and thought I was not good enough to go further.

Pero hay algo dentro de mi, llamado fuerza interior; esa fuerza es lo más útil que tengo.

But there is something inside me, called inner strength; that strength is the most useful thing I have.

Esa fuerza me ha hecho respirar entre lágrimas, me ha permitido levantarme, limpiarme el lodo y seguir avanzando en medio de la selva.

That strength has made me breathe through tears, allowed me to get up, wipe off the mud and keep moving forward in the middle of the jungle.

Esa fuerza ha impedido que me quedase viviendo en el suelo. Me ha permitido ver qué hay algo más allá de lo que mis ojos pueden observar; esa fuerza me dice que puedo lograr muchas cosas en mi vida, solo si lo intento.

That strength has kept me from living on the ground. It has allowed me to see that there is something beyond what my eyes can observe; that strength tells me that I can achieve many things in my life, only if I try.

Lo que puedo decirte hoy, es que tú también tienes esa fuerza, tu también tienes el poder. Ninguna caída, ningún dolor, ninguna desesperación será más grande que tu, a menos que le des el poder de superarte. Busca tu fuerza interior, vívela diariamente. Consigue que tú mente este de tu lado y no del lado de tus problemas; y solo así ya los tendrás ganados todos.

What I can tell you today, is that you too have that strength, you too have the power. No fall, no pain, no despair will be bigger than you unless you give it the power to overcome you. Seek your inner strength, live it daily. Get your mind on your side and not on the side of your problems; and only then will you have won them all.
