[ESP/ENG] Reseña del libro: Su Alteza Real. Contiene un poco de spoiler/ Book Review: Her Royal Highness. Contains a bit of a spoiler.
¡Hola chicos y chicas! Hoy vengo a hablarles de un libro escrito por Danielle Steel (de quien ya he dicho en otras ocasiones que es una de mis escritoras favoritas).
Me encanta la forma que tiene Danielle de atraparte con cada palabra que escribe; este libro en particular se refiere a la monarquía. Nos muestra la vida de una princesa moderna, rodeada de un padre y un consejo un poco arcaico y machista (para mí punto de vista).
Nos narra la vida de una princesa que está ahogada y atrapada entre su propia vida y sus sueños, mientras que su hermano y heredero al trono, tiene el beneplácito de todos los demás para salir a fiestas y andar viajando y malgastando el dinero.
Una hija que no puede hacer nada más que organizar bailes, visitar e inaugurar orfanatos y hospitales, simplemente por el hecho de ser mujer, una princesa que no puede permitirse tener un amor real, porque su padre y su madre juraron que nunca permitirían que se casara con un plebeyo.
Hasta que se llenó de valor para enfrentar a su padre y decidió irse del palacio a hacer lo que dictaba su corazón. Esta experiencia cambia mucho su manera de ver las cosas y determina lo que sucederá en adelante. Es una experiencia corta, pero muy valiosa para ella.
Más adelante de regreso en el palacio, el padre nota el cambio en su hija y es el mismo quien se coloca en contacto con varias autoridades para que su hija pueda cumplir uno de sus más grandes sueños, sin importar el miedo y la soledad que viviría. Después de todo, solo era un padre preocupado y sobreprotector por el bienestar de su hija.
La única condición colocada es que al regresar de ese lugar, la princesa de dedicaría únicamente y sin quejas a sus labores en el palacio y con el pueblo. Ella acepta encantada, pensando únicamente en la gran oportunidad que tiene a las puertas, sin pensar en todos los sacrificios que tendría que hacer después, solo piensa en que si era la última oportunidad de su vida para hacer lo que realmente quería hacer, lo mejor era que la disfrutara al máximo y que intentará alargarla el mayor tiempo posible, aunque realmente sería una tarea difícil de lograr, teniendo a quien tenía como padre.
Lo que ninguno se imaginaba, es que esa experiencia no solo crearía un sueño más grande en ella, sino que también la haría encontrar al amor de su vida, un amor prohibido por su padre. El mismo padre se daba cuenta de todo lo que su hija sufría a diario con las prohibiciones que tenía, pero de manera muy dolorosa aceptaba que era la única forma de cuidar y respetar su deber con el pueblo; aunque a ella no le gustara.
Luego de estos momentos, el libro da un giro de 360°, cuando ya me imaginaba a una princesa casada por contrato matrimonial y a un joven enamorado y soltero para toda la vida; pasa algo que marca un antes y un después en la vida de la princesa y en la de su eterno amor; y dicho sea, acarrea también un gran cambio sobre un país.
Es un proceso largo, doloroso y complicado el que tiene que pasar esta pareja, muchos meses separados y solo comunicándose por correo electrónico, mientras pasa el tiempo para que se cambien leyes y se aprueben nuevas de ellas.
Y es específicamente acá donde Danielle decide finalizar este libro, dejándome con un final abierto y con muchas ganas de seguir leyendo. Me he imaginado muchos finales diferentes para esta historia, todos felices, aunque en realidad no sé si en la mente de Danielle el final fue feliz.
Mi opinión:
Un libro cargado de romance y determinación, con muy buena narrativa; definitivamente un libro muy cautivador, me atrevo a decir que llega a ser inspirador en cierto sentido, es un libro que engancha hasta el punto de comenzar a leer y no detenerme hasta finalizarlo.
¿Volvería a leerlo?
Definitivamente sí, no importa el final abierto, siempre querré volver a leer este libro. Aunque en realidad me hubiese gustado que la historia tuviera un final cerrado, así no pasaría horas pensando en como sucedieron las cosas en adelante.
Fué complicado para mí hacer está reseña, reservando grandes partes del libro, por si deseas leerlo en algún momento. La verdad lo recomiendo al 100%, es un libro que vale la pena leer.

Hi guys and girls! Today I'm here to tell you about a book written by Danielle Steel (who I've said before that she's one of my favorite writers).
I love the way Danielle has of grabbing you with every word she writes; this particular book is about monarchy. She shows us the life of a modern princess, surrounded by a father and a council that is a bit archaic and sexist (to my point of view).
It narrates the life of a princess who is drowned and trapped between her own life and her dreams, while her brother and heir to the throne, has the approval of everyone else to go out to parties and go traveling and wasting money.
A daughter who can do nothing but organize balls, visit and inaugurate orphanages and hospitals, simply because she is a woman, a princess who cannot afford to have a royal love, because her father and mother swore they would never allow her to marry a commoner.
Until she found the courage to stand up to her father and decided to leave the palace to do what her heart dictated. This experience greatly changes her way of seeing things and determines what will happen in the future. It is a short, but very valuable experience for her.
Later, back in the palace, the father noticed the change in his daughter and it was he himself who contacted various authorities so that his daughter could fulfill one of her greatest dreams, regardless of the fear and loneliness she would experience. After all, he was just a concerned and overprotective father for the welfare of his daughter.
The only condition placed was that upon returning from that place, the princess would dedicate herself solely and without complaint to her work in the palace and with the people. She accepted delighted, thinking only of the great opportunity she had at her doorstep, without thinking of all the sacrifices she would have to make afterwards, only thinking that if it was the last chance of her life to do what she really wanted to do, the best thing was to enjoy it to the fullest and try to extend it as long as possible, although it would really be a difficult task to achieve, having who she had as a father.
What none of them imagined was that this experience would not only create a bigger dream in her, but would also make her meet the love of her life, a love forbidden by her father. The father himself realized how much his daughter suffered every day with the prohibitions she had, but in a very painful way he accepted that it was the only way to take care and respect his duty to the people; even if she did not like it.
After these moments, the book takes a 360° turn, when I already imagined a princess married by marriage contract and a young man in love and single for life; something happens that marks a before and after in the life of the princess and in the life of her eternal love; and that is, it also brings a great change in a country.
It is a long, painful and complicated process that this couple has to go through, many months apart and only communicating by email, while the time passes for laws to be changed and new ones to be passed.
And it is specifically here where Danielle decides to end this book, leaving me with an open ending and eager to keep reading. I have imagined many different endings to this story, all happy ones, although I really don't know if in Danielle's mind the ending was happy.
My opinion:
A book loaded with romance and determination, with very good storytelling; definitely a very captivating book, I dare say it becomes inspirational in a sense, it is a book that hooks to the point of starting to read and not stopping until I finish it.
Would I read it again?
Definitely yes, no matter the open ending, I will always want to read this book again. Although I really would have liked the story to have a closed ending, so I wouldn't spend hours thinking about how things happened going forward.
It was complicated for me to do this review, reserving large parts of the book, in case you want to read it at some point. I really recommend it 100%, it's a book worth reading.

Hola, no leí este libro pero parece una historia con alguna enseñanza y un amor que rompe leyes o eso me imagino. Ser de la realeza no es fácil. Mientras leía tu reseña Love Story de Taylor Swift se puso sola jajaja.
A mí no me gustan mucho los finales abiertos porque estoy como vos, imaginando mil escenarios posibles, me gusta más cuando me marcan el camino y dan un buen cierra que no queden dudas de cómo seguirá la historia.
