The Grinch - Traditional Drawing

Hey hivers what's up! I hope you are well, today I didn't feel like being at the computer, so I started to make a drawing in a traditional way, what better for this Christmas time than the famous Grinch 😍.

¡Hola hivers que tal! Espero que estén bien, hoy no tenía ganas de estar en la computadora, así que me puse a hacer un dibujo de manera tradicional, que mejor para estas fechas navideñas que el famoso Grinch 😍.

It's been a long time since I've drawn in a traditional way, I felt quite rusty and my discomfort didn't help me, but I have a reason to try a little harder than usual.

The first thing I missed about digital was the Ctrl + Z tool hahaha and the selection tool, my proportion in traditional is not very good and without constant practice that gets worse.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no dibujaba de forma tradicional, me sentía bastante oxidada y mi malestar no me ayudaba, pero tengo un motivo para esforzarme un poco más de lo habitual.

Lo primero que eché de menos de digital fue la herramienta Ctrl + Z jajaja y la herramienta de selección, mi proporción en tradicional no es muy buena y sin práctica constante eso empeora.

When I draw in this way I like to combine styles, usually it is to make a part in shadows in pen or sketch, and the other part in color.

Cuando dibujo de esta manera me gusta combinar estilos, normalmente es hacer una parte en sombras a bolígrafo o sketch, y la otra parte en color.

So this is what I did for the coloring of this design, starting with the black side, when working with this material the shadows must be softened, it is something that I personally have to practice so that the weaving is not so forced.

Así que esto es lo que hice para el coloreado de este diseño, empezando por el lado negro, cuando se trabaja con este material hay que suavizar las sombras, es algo que personalmente tengo que practicar para que el tramado no quede tan forzado.

Coloring was my favorite part, most of the time I have loved doing color drawings. I enjoyed doing this drawing, I would say I would like to be more consistent and do it once a week, but I'm not going to lie to myself 😅, I hope you like it.

Colorear fue mi parte favorita, la mayoría de las veces me ha encantado hacer dibujos a color. Disfruté mucho haciendo este dibujo, diría que me gustaría ser más constante y hacerlo una vez a la semana, pero no me voy a mentir 😅, espero que les guste.
