Warrior 🐺🐺🐺- Illustrative process.

Hello hivers, welcome.

Although very little I have been active in hive I must say that I keep drawing day by day working on some commissions, this helps me a lot to improve myself since I had always drawn for myself, and now interacting with someone and basing the art on some guides and instructions from someone else has seemed interesting to me, well many times they are video game characters, where sometimes they have references and others I just have to guide me with some description so it's more work hehe. So today I want to show you this assignment, which consisted of a portrait of a warrior who is of the werewolf species, it was a process of elaboration of several days because I wanted the textures and finishes to come out very well. Here is my process.

Hola hivers, bienvenidos.

Aunque muy poco he estado activa en hive debo decir que sigo dibujando día a día trabajando en algunos encargos, esto me ayuda mucho a superarme ya que siempre había dibujado para mi misma, y ahora interactuar con alguien y basar el arte en algunas guías e instrucciones de alguien más me ha parecido interesante, bueno muchas veces son personajes de videojuegos, donde a veces tienen referencias y otras solo tengo que guiarme con alguna descripción así que es más trabajo jeje. Así que hoy quiero mostrarles este encargo, que consistió en un retrato de una guerrera que es de la especie de hombres lobo, fue un proceso de elaboración de varios días ya que quería que las texturas y acabados salieran muy bien. A continuación les dejo mi proceso.

In the sketch I was asked to please incorporate a sword, so I went from doing a portrait to almost a half body, which for me was a little better because I'm trying to practice more that kind of thing and vary the style in the process. After I had a sketch I started painting, the color palette was limited between browns and grays ;3

I started with his face, made it as smooth and detailed as possible and then incorporated some of the fur. The armor is composed of leather and metal, although the first material could barely be seen because the metal part is quite large, almost like a medieval armor.

En el boceto me pidieron que por favor incorporara una espada, así que pasé de hacer un retrato a casi un medio cuerpo, lo cual para mí fue un poco mejor porque estoy tratando de practicar más ese tipo de cosas y variar el estilo en el proceso. Después de tener un boceto empecé a pintar, la paleta de colores se limitaba entre marrones y grises ;3

Empecé con su rostro, lo hice lo más suave y detallado posible y luego incorporé parte del pelaje. La armadura está compuesta de cuero y metal, aunque el primer material apenas podía verse porque la parte de metal es bastante grande, casi como una armadura medieval.

I added textures, some with the help of brushes, others by hand. The sword and the part of the arms has the silhouette of a dragon engraved, I placed details of brightness and shadows so that it could be perceived. This dragon is also part of a necklace that the character has, but because of the angle of the arm that holds the sword it was not going to be noticed.

For the background I was only asked to be red, but lately I try to work with light effects even if the background is something simple, so that's what I did this time. For me this illustration was a challenge as far as the metallic part is concerned, even so I liked it a lot, this is the result. :D See you next time.

Añadí texturas, algunas con ayuda de pinceles, otras a mano. La espada y la parte de los brazos tiene grabada la silueta de un dragón, coloqué detalles de brillo y sombras para que se percibiera. Este dragón también forma parte de un collar que tiene el personaje, pero por el ángulo del brazo que sujeta la espada no se iba a notar.

Para el fondo sólo me pidieron que fuera rojo, pero últimamente intento trabajar con efectos de luz aunque el fondo sea algo sencillo, así que eso es lo que hice esta vez. Para mi esta ilustración fue un reto en cuanto a la parte metálica, aun así me gustó mucho, este es el resultado. :D Hasta la próxima.
