5 minutes freewrite prompt: Gopher

This is a Five minutes freewrite by @mariannewest.

Gopher a good friend of mine who has never for once left my side, we grow up together as brothers.

But something also Happened that makes us stays different ways.

This was what happened.

Gopher refuses to walked with me in school and make himself new friends and I was so sad about it.

Because all of a sudden he decided to stay away from me, without no reasons and since then I was not myself.

Everyday I keep on thinking what could be the reason for him to turn his back on me.

His true friend, everyone use to called us brothers, no one believes that we were just friends, do to how we use to relate with one another.

One day I gather courage and decision to confront Gopher.

When I confronted him, he told me, it was for the best, that he had to stay away form me.

He told me that, the people I see him makes friends with, threatened to have me beaten up if he doesn't become their friend and start walking with them in school.

Which he agree for my own sake, that he wouldn't bear it if anything happens to me.

When I heard him says that, it really broke my heart, there I was able to see that Gopher really love me as a friend

It also makes me realize that true friendship can do anything for his friend as far as it will make his friend Happy and to keep the relationship which they had.
