Art Style Challenge | Chapter 1 | 🎨 Gorillaz 🎨
I decided to do the "Art Style Challenge" after a long time, it was a challenge that I saw many artists doing, including my favorites, but I never had the courage to do it. This challenge consists of making a drawing, it can be of some original character or any other drawing, in different art styles. These drawing styles can be taken from animated series, anime, different artists' own styles or others, the goal is to recreate different art styles and see how different your art looks in those styles.
Decidí hacer el "Art Style Challange" después de bastante tiempo, era un reto que veía hacer a muchos artistas, incluidos mis preferidos, pero nunca tuve el atrevimiento para hacerlo. Este reto consiste en hacer un dibujo, puede ser de algún personaje original o cualquier otro dibujo, en diferentes estilos de arte. Estos estilos de dibujo pueden ser tomados de series animadas, animes, estilos propios de diferentes artistas o demás, lo que se busca es recrear diferentes estilos de arte y ver que tan diferente se ve tu arte en esos estilos.
For this first chapter, I did the drawing style of the band Gorillaz, which works in a cartoon style but with a dark tinge, which fascinates me, so it was the first style I wanted to do for the challenge.
Para este primer capitulo, hice el estilo de dibujo de la banda Gorillaz, la cual trabajan un estilo de dibujo un tanto cartoon pero con un tinte oscuro, lo cual me fascina, así que fue el primer estilo que quise hacer para el desafió.

I started making the sketch of the drawing, taking into account the references. This style of drawing caught my attention, since they have a style that reminds me of the Cartoon Network animated series, but at the same time they have a certain dark tinge, which I like too much and that's why I decided to make my character in that style and see how it would look like.
Comencé haciendo el boceto del dibujo, tomando en cuanta las referencias. Este estilo de dibujo me llamo mucho la atención, ya que tienen un estilo que me recuerda a las series animadas de Cartoon Network, pero que a su vez tienen un cierto tinte oscuro, lo cual me gusta demasiado y por eso decidí hacer mi personaje en ese estilo y ver que tal quedaba.

After I had been doing the sketch and had it ready, I went to look at the color palettes and general paint work in this style. I noticed that they work the illustrations with very flat color palettes or with a base color, certain shadows and line art, which made it super easy for me to work with, since it's not something that takes a lot of time to do and for that part, I was thrilled.
Luego de haber estado haciendo el boceto y tenerlo listo, me fui a ver las paletas de color y el trabajo en general de pintura en este estilo. Note que trabajan las ilustraciones con paletas de color muy planas o con un color base, ciertas sombras y line art, lo cual se me hizo super fácil de trabajar, ya que no es algo que tome mucho tiempo en hacer y por esa parte, yo estaba encantado.

I chose colors a little more saturated than what I'm used to, since it was another thing I saw, color palettes a little saturated in terms of colors, but not much really, so that's how I was working on my character. After adding the shadows, I began to do all the line art in the drawing, as it is another feature of this style, very predominant lines in much of the illustration, which is something that I have left a little aside in my style, but I do add from time to time or certain areas of my drawings, but not as much as in the style of Gorillaz.
Elegí colores un poco más saturados a lo que yo acostumbro, ya que fue otra cosa que vi, paletas de color un poco saturadas en cuanto a los colores, pero no mucho la verdad, entonces de eso modo estuve trabajando mi personaje. Luego de agregar las sombras, comencé a hacer todo el line art en el dibujo, ya que es otra característica de este estilo, lineas muy predominantes en gran parte de las ilustración, lo cual es algo que he dejado un poco de lado en mi estilo, pero que si agrego de vez en cuando o ciertas zonas de mis dibujos, pero no en gran parte como en el estilo de Gorillaz.

Finally, I took the time to make some final details to my drawing, which were details in red on the face, which would be the freckles that I add in my drawings and that would be it, that would be all. First drawing of the challenge finished. At the end I don't know how many drawing styles I will do, I have eight in list at the moment, so well, let's wait for each one of them.
Ya por ultimo, me tome el tiempo de hacerle unos detalles finales a mi dibujo, que fueron detalles en rojo en la cara, que serian las pecas que agrego en mis dibujos y listo, eso seria todo. Primer dibujo del reto terminado. Al final no se cuantos estilos de dibujo haré, tengo en lista ocho de momento, así que bueno, a esperar cada uno de ellos.
