Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I just wanted to take my sketchbook and draw the first thing I could find for inspiration. I checked my cell phone to see what images I could have for inspiration, but the truth is I didn't find anything that inspired me much, so what I did was to illustrate whatever came to my mind, something strange and creative, it was then that I came up with this drawing that I share with all of you.

¡Hola gente hermosa! Espero que estén todos genial y si no lo estáis, ¡lo estaréis pronto! Solo quise tomar mi sketchbook y dibujar lo primero que encontrara de inspiración. Revise mi celular para que ver imágenes podría tener de inspiración, pero la verdad no encontré nada que me inspirara mucho, así que lo que hice fue ilustrar lo que se me viniese a la mente, algo extraño y creativo, fue entonces que surgió este dibujo que comparto con todos ustedes.

As I did not find a reference to inspire me to draw something, I decided to do something original. I did a portrait in line art style, since the contest is about that, making pencil or graphite drawings, so I chose to work in that style of drawing.

Como no encontré en una referencia que me inspirara en dibujar algo, decidí hacer algo original. Hice un retrato al estilo arte lineal, ya que el concurso se trata de eso mismo, hacer dibujos a lápiz o grafito, así que opte por trabajar en ese estilo de dibujo.

I started making the initial sketch of my drawing, marking and structuring the whole face itself, using as initial pencil a wooden Hb number 2 pencil. I must say that I also didn't want to do something realistic or pulling in that style of drawing, since I'm not a fan of working in that style, so I went for making a drawing very much in my personal style, exaggerating the physical tears and other elements that we can see in the illustration.

Comencé haciendo el boceto inicial de mi dibujo, marcando y estructurando todo el rostro en sí, usando como lápiz inicial uno de madera Hb numero 2. Debo decir que también no quise hacer algo realista o tirando en ese estilo de dibujo, ya que no soy fanático de trabajar en ese estilo, así que me fui por hacer un dibujo muy a mi estilo personal, exagerando los rasgas físicos y demás elementos que podemos ver en la ilustración.

When I had the sketch ready, what I did next was to start detailing everything, but before I pass over it with a type cleaner, I do this to remove the excess of graphite from the pencil and leave the sketch cleaner. For this step, I make use of three mechanical pencils, one I use to work a first line art, which I use a mechanical pencil 0.5 millimeters, which allows me to make a thin and precise line. Then to detail certain areas of the drawing with a line a little thicker, I use a mechanical pencil of 0.7 millimeters and finally I use one of 2 millimeters, which I use to make the thickest lines and are the ones that help me to give more contrast to the drawing.

Cuando tuve el boceto listo, lo que hice después fue comenzar a detallar todo, pero antes paso por encima de este un limpia tipo, esto lo hago para quitar el exceso de grafito del lápiz y dejar mas limpio el boceto. Para este paso, hago uso de tres portaminas, uno lo uso para trabajar un primer line art, el cual uso un portaminas 0.5 milímetros, que me permite hacer un linea delgada y precisa. Luego para detallar ciertas zonas del dibujo con una linea un poco mas grueso, uso un portaminas de 0.7 milímetros y por ultimo uso uno de 2 milímetros, que este lo uso para hacer las lineas más gruesas y son las que me ayudan a darle de cierto modo más contraste al dibujo.

Finally what I do is to make the final details, adding some "shines" in the drawing and in the background, so that this one is not so empty. And that's it friends, that would be all for this drawing.

Por ultimo lo que hago es hacer los detalles finales, agregando algunos "brillos" en el dibujo y en el fondo, para que este no este tan vació. Y listo amigos, eso seria todo para este dibujo.
