Esta vez quise hacer un disco donde trabaja más con pintura que con recortes. Este disco lo trabaje en su totalidad con pintura y la frase es la única que esta hecha de recortes de letras y la verdad siento que quedo igual de bonito como otro disco.
I had seen on Instagram that people were working with discs and painting them, but I saw one that I really liked and wanted to do it too. I started by painting the disc orange, applying two coats of paint so it would take the color well.
Había visto por Instagram que personas trabajaban con discos y los pintaban, pero vi uno que me gusto mucho y quise hacerlo también. Comencé pintando el disco de color naranja, aplicando dos capas de pintura para que tomara el color bien.
After I had painted the disc orange, I was thinking a bit about how to make or decorate it. The idea I had seen on Instagram was about a painting with a natural landscape, but it was something super worked, almost realistic, so I better take my idea a bit simpler, because I wasn't going to paint something realistic and then paste a phrase over the work.
Luego que había pintado el disco de naranja, estuve pensando un poco en como hacer o decorar el mismo. La idea que había visto en Instagram era sobe una pintura con un paisaje natural, pero era algo super trabajado, casi realista, así que mejor tome mi idea un como más simple, porque no iba a pintar algo realista y luego pegar una frase sobre el trabajo.
I decided to make some kind of branches, like those climbing plants or I don't know what they are called exactly, but I liked the idea better and I feel that the work would not look so overloaded when I had it ready.
Decidí hacer unas especies de ramas, como esas plantas trepadoras o no se como se llamen exactamente ese tipo de plantas, pero la idea me gusto más y siento que no se iba a ver tan recargado el trabajo al tenerlo listo la verdad.
Once I had all the branches done, I began to paint all the leaves on each branch. With a lot of patience I was able to finish each branch with its respective leaves. At the end, the only thing I had to do was to look in old magazines for old letters to form the phrase that was going to be in this album, which is the following:
"It's not about living, it's about feeling alive."
Una vez tuve todas las ramas hechas, comencé a pintar todas las hojas de cada rama. Con mucha paciencia pude culminar cada rama con sus respectivas hojas. Ya al final, lo único que me toco hacer fue buscar en revistas viejas letras para poder formar la frase que iba a estar en este disco, la cual es la siguiente:
"No se trata de vivir, sino de sentirse vivo."
