Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all super well and if you're not, you will be soon! Once again I come with a new drawing for the @Splinterlands art contest! This time I chose a card that I had seen a long time ago and I wanted to draw it, so this was the moment to finally do it. The character is River Nymph and the truth is that she is a very nice character to draw.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Nuevamente vengo con un nuevo dibujo para el concurso de arte de @Splinterlands! Esta vez escogí una carta que hacia tiempo la había visto y le tenia unas ganas enormes de dibujarla, así que este fue el momento para por fin hacerla. El personaje es River Nymph y la verdad que es un personaje muy lindo para dibujar.

I started with the sketch and this time I was doing it very slowly and paying attention to the proportions of it very carefully, since I had made a first attempt drawing this character and in the end it was very badly proportioned because I didn't pay attention and I realized it after starting to paint it, so I had to eliminate it and start doing it again.

Comencé con el boceto y esta vez lo fui haciendo muy despacio y fijándome en las proporciones del mismo muy detalladamente, ya que había hecho un primer intento dibujando este personaje y al final me quedo muy mal proporcionado por no fijarme bien y me di cuenta después de comenzar a pintarlo, así que tuve que eliminarlo y comenzar a hacerlo nuevamente.

I used a reference I found on Pinterest to make the pose of the character and from there, I started to make everything that would become the character in general. Elements added to the drawing were only the tiara or crown and the dress, the truth is that the original character didn't have many. After making the sketch for quite a while, I finally had it finished and proceeded to work on the color, without first letting the sketch rest for a while and make sure it was ok before starting to paint it and not to make the mistake of the last drawing again.

Use una referencia que encontré en Pinterest para hacer la pose del personaje y de ahí, partí a hacer todo lo que vendría siendo el personaje en general. Elementos agregados al dibujo fueron solamente la tiara o corona y el vestido, la verdad el personaje original no tenia muchos. Luego de estar haciendo el boceto por un buen rato, por fin lo tuve terminado y proseguí a trabajar el color, sin antes dejar reposar el boceto un rato y ver que estuviera bien antes de comenzar a pintarlo y no volver a cometer el error del dibujo pasado.

To work the color on the character I focused on the color palette of the original character. In general it is a cold color palette, since it has in its entirety colors like blue, purple and green, so I played with those colors to use them at my convenience in my drawing. In the end I didn't want to make the skin of that light green or turquoise color, since it is not my style to make skins of that color, so I chose to paint the skin as I normally do and with wood colors I gave him some tones in stubbornness and purple, to continue with the original palette.

Para trabajar el color en el personaje me enfoque en la paleta de color del personaje original. En general es una paleta de color fría, ya que tiene en su totalidad colores como azul, morado y verde, así que jugué con dichos colores para usarlos a mi conveniencia en mi dibujo. Al final no quise hacerle la piel de ese color verde claro o turquesa, ya que no es de mi estilo hacer pieles de ese color, así que opte por pintar la piel como lo hago normalmente y con colores de madera le di algunos tonos en terqueza y morado, para seguir con la paleta original.

Little by little I was working the color in the drawing, using watercolors and fabric paints as materials. Besides using the materials mentioned above, I used wood colors to give a little more color to certain areas of the drawing. At the end I gave the final touches to the drawing, such as line art and white details. To finish the drawing, I wanted to add blood to the character, to give it that dark touch that I like to see so much in my drawings.

Poco a poco fui trabajando el color en el dibujo, usando como materiales las acuarelas y las pinturas de tela. Ademas de usar los materiales antes mencionados, use colores de madera para darle un poco mas de color a ciertas zonas del dibujo. Al final acabe dándole los toques finales al dibujo, como el line art y detalles en blanco. Ya para finalizar el dibujo, quise agregarle sangre al personaje, para darle ese toque oscuro que tanto me gusta ver en mis dibujos.
