Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I share with you this black and white sketch of the character Iza the Fanged, which I took as a reference from the Splinterlands game. Reviewing the cards and characters of the game, I came across Iza and really the vibe that gives me the same made me draw him, because I feel that goes hand in hand with my drawing style, so I share with you a little how I did this black and white sketch to also participate in Social Media this week.
Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Comparto con ustedes este boceto en blanco y negro del personaje Iza the Fanged, que tome como referencia del juego de Splinterlands. Revisando las cartas y personajes del juego, me tope con Iza y realmente la vibra que me da el mismo me hizo dibujarlo, porque siento que va de la mano con mi estilo de dibujo, así que les comparto un poco como hice este boceto a blanco y negro para participar ademas en el Social Media de esta semana.
I was looking for many references on Pinterest to structure very well what would be the character itself. I looked for dynamic poses, hair styles that were in accordance with the character or that had some similarity with it and other things, to make and finish with a good sketch in general. I was drawing for a long time until I had a first sketch of the character, then I went to clean it up a little in another layer, so I was left with what would be the final sketch and line art.
Estuve buscando muchas referencias en Pinterest para estructurar muy bien lo que vendría siendo el personaje en sí. Busque poses dinámicas, estilos de cabello que fueran acorde con el personaje o que tuvieran cierta similitud con el mismo y demás cosas, para hacer y terminar con un buen boceto en general. Estuve dibujando por un muy buen rato hasta tener un primer boceto del personaje, luego me fui a limpiarlo un poco en otra capa, para así quedarme con lo que seria el boceto y line art final.

The next thing I do is to start painting and detailing the sketch in grayscale. I don't really use white in the sketches, I like to work with different shades of grays and gradually build up the whole drawing that way. This time I made use of a few brushes to make the drawing look more striking or to make it more detailed and to tell the truth, the final finish I got on it I simply loved it.
Lo siguiente que hago es comenzar a pintar y dar detalle al boceto en escala de grises. Realmente uso muy poco el blanco en los bocetos, me gusta mas trabajar con diferentes tonos de gripes e ir armando poco a poco todo el dibujo de esa manera. Esta vez hice uso de unos cuantos pinceles para hacer lucir el dibujo más llamativo o para que se detallara mejor el mismo y a decir verdad, el acabado final que conseguí en el mismo simplemente me encanto.

The brushes I used to do the paint job on the drawing were three; a marker brush to make the base color, the second one which is a chalk brush to add the shadows and the last but not least, an ink brush, this last one I used to make a couple of details in line art and the glows in white. That's all the work I did to make this black and white sketch friends!
Los pinceles que use para hacer el trabajo de pintura en el dibujo fueron tres; uno de marcador para hacer el color base, el segundo que es uno de tiza, para agregar las sombras y el ultimo pero no menos importante, uno de tinta, este ultimo lo use para hacer un par detalles en line art y los brillos en blanco. Eso es fue todo el trabajo que hice para hacer este boceto a blanco y negro amigos!
