Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I bring you a new black and white sketch for @Splinterlands SocialMedia. I chose the card of Pyre, card that I must say I love too much, I don't know why? A long time ago I made a fanart of it and I wanted to draw it again, but this time in digital. I took it as inspiration to make it in my style and I share with you how I made the black and white sketch of the illustration.
Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Les traigo un nuevo boceto en blanco y negro para el SocialMedia de @Splinterlands. Escogí la carta de Pyre, carta que debo decir que amo demasiado, no se por qué? Hace muchísimo tiempo hice un fanart de ella y quise dibujarla de nueva, pero esta vez en digital. La tome como inspiración para hacerla a mi estilo y les comparto un poco como hice el boceto en blanco y negro de la ilustración.
I started drawing for a while in Krita what I wanted to capture the character in my style, taking references in Pinterest to form a good pose and structuring everything that would become the character little by little. When I had a first well structured sketch, I went to pass all those crazy lines in a new layer, so I could have a clean sketch and start detailing in grayscale the whole drawing.
Comencé dibujando un rato en Krita lo que quería captar del personaje a mi estilo, tomando referencias en Pinterest para formar una buena pose y estructurando todo lo que vendría siendo el personaje poco a poco. Cuando tuve un primer boceto bien estructurado, me fui a pasar todas esas lineas locas en una nueva capa, para así quedarme con un boceto limpio y comenzar a detallar a escala de grises todo el dibujo.

I had some time without integrating horns in my drawings, so for this drawing I wanted to add them and the truth is that they look very good. To start working on the black and white sketch, the first thing I do is to add the shadows in all the areas that I think it is convenient to have darkness. I choose a dark gray, but not so dark, since at the end I use a very dark gray almost in a shade of black for certain areas that I want to deepen more, which always end up being in the hair.
Tenia tiempo sin integrar cuernos en mis dibujos, así que para este dibujo quise agregarlos y la verdad que le quedan muy bien. Para comenzar a trabajar el boceto en blanco y negro, lo primero que hago es agregar las sombras en todas las zonas que yo crea convenientes que tengan oscuridad. Escojo un gris oscuro, pero no tan oscuro, ya que a lo ultimo uso un gris muy oscuro casi en un tono de negro para ciertas zonas que quiera profundizar más, que siempre terminan siendo en el cabello.

After I have added the shadows, I add a light gray tone, almost white over the black shadows, so I make a contrast in both tones, light and dark. This helps not only to see dark and light areas, but also to see both tones in harmony according to me. Finally and to finish with the drawing, I detail some areas of the drawing now, with a pure white, which would be the details in white, which I add in the hair, face and others.
Luego que he agregado las sombras, voy agregando un tonos de grises claros, casi tirando a blanco por encima de las sombras negras, así hago un contraste en ambos tonos, claro y oscuro. Esto ayuda a que no solo se vean zonas oscuras y claras, sino que se vean mas en armonía ambos tonos según yo. Por ultimo y para finalizar con el dibujo, detallo algunas zonas del dibujo ahora sí, con un blanco puro, que vendrían siendo los detalles en blanco, los cuales agrego en el cabello, rostro y demás.
